People travel beacause they need that at work or just for fun and also because they wants to diverse cultures. Historians travel because they want to become acquainted history of variouse countries. Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness. Travel is all that and much more. One of the goals of study abroad is to prepare you to be more effective, respectful of other cultures, and to better understand your own culture and values. Travelling not only teaches you about other cultures, but it also teaches you more about yourself and your own culture. After all, only from the outside can you look back in.
