Magistritöö Hea ja kurja küsimus Carl Gustav Jungi käsitluses
impossible to judge, which one is present, because we as humans are limited in understanding.
Jung is strictly against the Church Fathers conception, which sees evil without a specific
substance as a diminuation of good (privatio boni). Jung warns us: stripping the evil from its
substance would logically result in disappearing of good`s substance also.
Comparing Jung`s vision with probable sources of influence, turns out that his worldview is
syncretistic indeed. He is rigtly considered being subtly as one of the founding fathers of the
New Age movement. Founding and blending different elements from many religious systems of
the world Jung considers all of these in psychological sense justified and relevant. After
Freud`s and Adler`s critical views Jung may be appreciated at least for highlighting
importance of spirituality in human experience in totally new and refreshing way.
