· Most popular poems were "Childe Harold
´s Pilgimage" and "Don Juan"
John Keats
(1795-1821)
· He was a Poet, a surgeon's apprentice and a
medical student
· He had serious health problems throughout his life.
· The main theme of his poetry is the conflict
between the real world suffering,death and decay
and the ideal world of beauty.
· Love was also important theme in his work
· He developed his own very distinctive
style.
· He is perhaps still the most widely read of
the romantic poets.
