in her hand that suggests she has tried to blackmail the murderer. Just as Mrs.
Otterbourne is about to reveal the name of Louise's murderer, she is shot through an
open cabin door.
Soon it is discovered that Simon and Jacqueline have worked together all along. The
original shooting was staged, leaving a bullet stuck in the leg of a table. As soon as
Simon was left alone, he picked up the pistol, ran to Linnet's cabin and shot her
adding the letter ,J' on the wall. He returned, shot himself in the leg using the
