Multiplication of letters--letters are doubled to reflect the way they are pronounced. This
is mostly used in dialogues. (laaarge)
Hyphenation is used when a word is split up into syllables or even letters to indicate
additional stress on the word (des-pise)
The Italics show that the words are important in the present context and should be
pronounced accordingly.
Graphon means distorting the spelling of the words. It is characteristics of prose only. It
occurres in dialogue. It is used to suggest that the person is drunk, very young or ignorant
of the discussed topic (temporary things) Permanent are educational and social factors.
(Fella, helluva, don't cha, gimme etc.)
Spelling in Graphon usually reproduces the correct pronunciation of the word.
11. Common literary and common colloquial vocabulary
Neutral words are used in any style of language and are natural under any circumstances
(man, walk, room, etc.)
