The spread of CE in pharmaceutical analysis was interfered by technical problems with
reproducibility of injection a very small volumes. These problems are largely solved, so that a
quantitative analysis of the error is less than 2%. When dealing with internal standards the
errors quantify for about 1%.
New directions
The main advantage of CE is miniaturixation, despite the fact that originally the
operations with small volumes of sample caused poor reproducibility, making the method
inappropriate. However, small amounts of sample has its advantages. With further decrease
the size of the input samples will be possible to analyze the content of a single cell and
conduct reactions with volumes from 10 to 100 pl.
