In the 1940s and 1950s, Ben and Ann Borrett bred cattle at their Chestermere ranch in
western Canada. They were also lovers of Siamese cats and became aware of Stirling-Webb's
experimental breeding programme in England. The Borretts travelled to England to visit
Stirling-Webb and to purchase several of his cats to start their own breeding program. Their
