Dear Ann, I am writing to you from my new house, that I just moved in yesterday. The house really looks fantastic, it is surrounded with a luxuriant garden. And it's a quiet area, but the best thing about it is that it is less that kilometer from the city center. Inside, the house is nice and comfortable. It has two floors. On the ground floor there is bed-rooms, a living-room, a bathroom with a shower, a dinning-room, a kitchen and a toilet. It is air-conditioned and well-furnished. The living-room is decorated beautifully. Paintings by famous artists are hung on the walls. Upstairs there is my own huge bedroom and bathroom.

Another European captain, Hartog, visited the west coast at Shark Bay also in 1606.Tasmania was discovered in 1642 by Tasman, who also named the Tasman Sea. However, none of them was happy over the discovery, because the land was very arid and barren. Such grasp remained unchanged until James Cook reached Cape Edward in 1779, where he turned north and landed at Botany Bay. That territory is nowadays called New South Wales. When he got back to home, he reported that the land had luxuriant vegetation and was very suitable for settlers. Therefore, the first settlement reached Botany Bay in 1788, but the bay was not suitable and they started to search a better landing point. It was found at Port Jackson. The captain of the fleet, Arthur Phillip, became the first governor on New South Wales. The first settlement consisted form convicts and their guards. The convicts were put to work immediately after arriving at Port Jackson, but they were all city-bred and so quite unskillful

The Torrens River flows through the city. The state is rich in iron-ore, lead and silver. In wetter areas sheep-breeding is developed. Victoria. The capital is Melbourne. was formed. Its members included Friedebert Tuglas, Marie Under, Artur Adson (1889- 1977), Hendrik Visnapuu (1890-1951), August Gailit (1891-1960), Johannes Semper (1892-1970). They represented the neo-Romantic spirit, Symbolism and Impressionism; avoiding acute social problems they preferred to glorify sensory enjoyment and physical beauty. In these early years Marie Under had already shown her extraordinary talent, offering in her poetry an exalted and luxuriant feeling for nature and Mankind. The others in the group published their articles, essays, short stories, poetry and, following the traditions of Young Estonia, promoted foreign art and literature. Yet the group broke up, due to the difficult socio-political climate and internal dissension on creative principles, in 1919. In 1918 a new artistic and literary group Pallas (founded by Konrad Mägi, Aleksander Tassa and Friedebert Tuglas) was launched in Tartu; some members had

spurted hotly, laying the last of my fears and doubts to rest. I don't know how long we sprawled on the couch like that, connected and close, my head on his shoulder and his hands caressing the curve of my spine. Gideon pressed his lips to my temple and murmured, "Stay." "Yes." He hugged me. "You're so brave, Eva. So strong and honest. You're a miracle. My miracle." "A miracle of modern therapy, maybe," I scoffed, my fingers playing in his luxuriant hair. "And even with that, I was really fucked up for a while and there are still some triggers I don't think I'll ever get past." "God. The way I came on to you in the beginning...I could've ruined us before we even got started. And the advocacy dinner-" He shuddered and buried his face in my neck. "Eva, don't let me blow this. Don't let me chase you away." Lifting my head, I searched his face. He was impossibly gorgeous. I had trouble taking it in at times

"Well, play for her," Esme encouraged. "You just said showing off was rude," he objected. "There are exceptions to every rule," she replied. "I'd like to hear you play," I volunteered. "It's settled then." Esme pushed him toward the piano. He pulled me along, sitting me on the bench beside him. He gave me a long, exasperated look before he turned to the keys. And then his fingers flowed swiftly across the ivory, and the room was filled with a composition so complex, so luxuriant, it was impossible to believe only one set of hands played. I felt my chin drop, my mouth open in astonishment, and heard low chuckles behind me at my reaction. Edward looked at me casually, the music still surging around us without a break, and winked. "Do you like it?" "You wrote this?" I gasped, understanding. He nodded. "It's Esme's favorite." I closed my eyes, shaking my head. "What's wrong?" "I'm feeling extremely insignificant."
