The Greenhouse Effects

probability of infrastructural instability triggered by natural hazards resulting from groundwater-level (GWL) variations. These effects are expected to be particularly serious in coastal regions because of the influence of the rising sea level resulting from global warming. The influence of sea-level rises (SLR) will become apparent along with land subsidence because groundwater abstraction will become severe in coastal regions. Additionally, the probability of earthquake liquefaction increases if GWL rises in accompaniment with SLR. Using case histories, we examined the possible occurrence of these natural hazards as a result of global warming. Finally, possible countermeasures and adaptation strategies for reducing and mitigating infrastructure damage accelerated by global warming are described for each case in specific regions. In particular, special attention should be paid to adaptation strategies in coastal lowlands, which particularly suffer from the effects of land

Kolloid- ja pindnähtuste keemia

BrunauerEmmettTeller (BET) theory aims to explain the physical adsorption of gas molecules on a solid surface and serves as the basis for an important analysis technique for the measurement of the specific surface area of a material. 21. Kuidas leitakse BET-i võrrandi konstandid? where is the heat of adsorption for the first layer, and is that for the second and higher layers and is equal to the heat of liquefaction. 3. DISPERSSETE SÜSTEEMIDE ELEKTRILISED OMADUSED 1. Millised on võimalikud põhjused elektrilise kaksikkihi moodustumiseks faasidevahelisel piirpinnal? Tooge näiteid elektrilise kaksikkihi moodustumisest erinevates süsteemides. Põhiline kolloidosakese kineetilise stabiilsuse allikas on kolloidosakese elektriliselt laetud pind. Laengu ümberjaotumine võib toimuda kolmel moel: 1. laetud osakeste ülekanne läbi piirpinna 2. erilaenguliste ioonide erinev adsorptsioon 3
