Krygiel, Eddy and Nies, Bradley (2008) defined the integrated use of a model as shown in figure 4.1.
Workflow is divided into four collaborative steps (adapted):
1. Architects and consultants work on the same model;
2. Stage of refinement, where the model is passed to the contractor and building team
3. Model is adjusted to reflect the change that happened in the field.
4. Then it is shared with owner and facilitys maintenance operators
