It is said that because of that wheel, was that street named as Ratsakaevu street. Townspeople, however, called the pit instead Kassikaev. It is said that one nixie lived in that well and it was believed that the nixie will float Tallinn. Because of that the habitants sacrificed every year many cattles, especially many dead cats.
