Floors are important elements of house, because they must provide an accetable surface, sound
and thermal insulation, and also carry and transfer imposed and dead loads. In my house is one
ground floor what is made of pre cast concrete and upper floor what is made of timber. We chose
a timber floor, because in private house is special sound insulation not required. The timber floor
joist run wall to wall and the joists are bear on the wall. As we know the decking can be finished
in different ways. We used PVC sheets in kitchen, parquet in living room and bedrooms and tiles
in bathroom. We have different colours wood linings in every room.
Roofs are part of external envelope and the main purpose is to protect buildings against
precipitations and sounds. My house have a pitched roof what is covered with corrugated iron.
Roof struss consists of principal rafters, ceiling joists and struts made of timber
