Iisraeli-Palestiina konflikti ajaloolised tagamaad
totally different nations now, their history is still closely related.
Relying on their history, Jews as well as Palestinians have their rights on the
mentioned land. During many centuries a lot of nations not Arabs and Jews only
have populated these areas, they lived together, mingled, got married, separated and
grew apart.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict itself has not lasted for thousands of years. Jews,
the descendants of ancient Israelites and Canaanites, have inhabitated this area for
centuries already. At the same time we must agree that the Palestinians are also the
descendants of ancient Canaanites. The Arabic culture of the present day Palestinians is
the result of the 7th century conquests of Arab tribes. They brought Islam, Arabic
culture and language with them, and they blended with the Palestinians.
The Palestines in exile hope to return to their former homeland. The inhabitants
in inner exile (in Israel) want their independence and freedom
annaabi.ee
