Advantages and disadvantages of advertising Nowdays advertising is a huge part of our everyday life. Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing in response to your advertisment in today's The Thames about the part-time job in accounts department. I am seventeen-year-old high school student and am very interested in this position. When I graduate school I would like to do a similar job to this so I think it would be a great opportunity to gain some work experience. Unfortunately I do not have any formal work experience, but I have been often told that I am good with money and every time my family have inancial problems or when we are willing to take a loan then my parents always ask my opinion so we could work out the best solution for us. As far as my personality is concerned I would describe myself honest, reliable and hard- working. I am a sociable person and I enjoy working with other as part of a team. I am also a quick learner and very good at maths, which I think is quite important for this job. If you wish me to attend an interview, I am avai...
10.oktoober 2011 Art versus Nonsense What is beauty ? Why do we find certain things beautiful ? Beauty is something that everyone is familiar with. It can't just be defined as something that may look good. It can be a feeling, a piece of art, music, or words. Anything can be beautiful depending on the person, beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. The music of songbirds is not generally considered art to us, but to birds it may be. The study of beauty is something not easily perfected because there is no absolute and true single beautiful thing in the world. Ideas of what is beautiful and what isn't change quickly, one day something may be thought of as "in" and the next day "out." I have learned that beauty isn't necessarily a person, place, or thing. Beauty for the most part is a feeling it's internal, something in your heart or mind that makes you smile when you see, h...
Read the following description I am from Seattle, Washington. Seattle is a city in the United States. It is near the border of Canada in the northwest corner of the USA. I live in a town called Olympia which is on the Puget Sound. I live in a house in a street in the countryside. The street is called "Bear Street" and the house is old - more than 100 years old! I am an English teacher at a school in the center of the town. I like books and taking photographs. I usually have lunch at school. I usually go home by car. We have all kinds of food in Olympia. I like Italian food very much. Sometimes, I go to an Italian restaurant in Seattle. The restaurant is called "Luigi's". Italian food is great! Here are the rules for when to use "A, An or The": · a = indefinite article (not a specific object, one of a number of the same objects) with consonants She has a dog. I work in a factory. · an = indefinite arti...
6 March 2014 Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing in order to complain about your product I bought. It is an i-phone, which I ordered from an online shop. A week later it stopped working properly. First of all, the on/off button is broken and does not let me open my phone. The screen colour of the device was also unacceptably almost black and white. In addition to this, the sound was a little bit off and I could no adjust it in the settings. For some reason I also could not see my messeages at all. No only the screen was borken, the camera was not working either. I suggest that you explain all that, replace the item or give me a full refund. I look foward to receiving your explanation. Yours faithfully, Mari Mets
Phosphate Binders: Your Questions Answered What's the deal with phosphate in kidney disease anyway? Phosphate and calcium are both minerals that are essential in maintaining a healthy body. Together, they help build strong, healthy bones and teeth, and also play a role in regular cell and nerve function. Through a delicate process called homeostasis, the body keeps both phosphate and calcium at healthy levels. Both the kidneys and the parathyroid glands play vital roles. First, the kidneys, which activate vitamin D, control the amount of phosphate that is absorbed and excreted from the foods you eat. Second, a hormone called parathyroid hormone (PTH) regulates phosphate by increasing or decreasing the blood's phosphate concentration. A normal blood phosphate level in adults is 3-4.5 mg/dL and a normal PTH is 10-55 pg/mL. However, in kidney disease and kidney failure, the body is not able to keep the levels of phosphate at healthy level...
