Kokkuvõte W.Brian Arthur. Increasing Returns and Path Dependence in the Economy. Artiklis arutleti teemal tasuvuse suurendamine ja rajasõltuvus majanduses. Tävapäraselt on majandusteooria ülesehitatud peamiselt eeldustel, et tulu väheneb. Sellised majandusmeetmed tekitavad negatiivset tagasisidet, mis omakorda stabiliseerib majandust. Negatiivse tagasiside korral (tulu vähenemisel) kaasneb majanduses mõju ühele tasakaalupunktile, kuid positiivse tagasiside puhul (tulu suurendamisel) muudab see paljusid tasakaalupunkte ehk see soodustab kõrvalekaldeid ning tulemuseks võib olla hoopis teistsugune süsteemi konfiguratsioon.
