dominated by the service sector. In 2000, services contributed 66% to
GVA, the manufacturing sector contributed 32%, while agriculture,
forestry and fishing contributed 1.5%.
In November 2008, the average price of a house in Wales was
£126,181, a fall of 11.7% since the previous year. The average house
price in England and Wales as a whole was £161,883.[24] In August
2008, average house prices in Wales ranged from £109,000 in
Blaenau Gwent to £238,000 in Monmouthshire.
