interoperability between different parties and systems often prevents members of the project team from
sharing information rapidly and accurately (Gallaher 2004). Thus, the lack of accurate information and
its slow exchange is one of the main reasons for the construction industrys low productivity, while
availability of information is critical in the project-based construction industry for decision making.
In conclusion, we can say that there are plenty of problems, and therefore, it is necessary to study the
causes of inefficiencies and to determine which of these causes has the greatest negative impact on
performance.
