Otherkin subculture (beliefs, behaviour, influences)
Well, it is believed that
non-human humans always lived on the planet, thruout the history but only in 1990-s they had a chance to talk
about themselves, after the World experienced so much- two world wars, genocide etc. Only then could the
otherkins talk about themselves without a fear of being bullied.
First big otherkin community grew out of the elven online communities of the early-to-mid-1990s. The oldest
Internet resource for otherkin is the Elfinkind Digest, a mailing list started in 1990. It was the time when
otherkins revealed themselves and people got to know about this subculture.
Do the otherkins influence somebody? Of course they do, there are still hundreds of half-humans who don't
understand what is happening, who don't know who they are,- they feel something other people don't feel, they
feel lost but the otherkin members help them out so lost people understand where they belong.
