We have to take a moment out, and reflect on the cycle of trying to measure our acceptance as human beings by trying to move into Caucasian neighbourhoods, rather than making our neighbourhoods our Meccas. Caucasians have the right to run or exclude anybody they don’t want to move into their own neighbourhood if it depreciates their investments. It is possible that if we begin to think of our communities in terms of the investments we have made and how they could appreciate, then more acceptable so our nouveaux-riche would stay and become role models for others. Dehumanizing ourselves by always being the ones to move into Caucasian neighbourhoods is not an acceptable alternative.
