Friendship

It is when you do not have to weigh your thoughts and measure words, before keeping it forth before your friend. It is when someone knows you better than yourself and assures to be your side in every emotional crisis. Different people have different definitions of friendship. People form definitions based on the kind of experiences they have had. Many people say, "Oh, he's a good friend of mine," yet they never take time to spend time with that "good friend." and this will restrict your ability to do other things. From a scientific point of view, most people who have pets enjoy better health than those who do not. Active pet owners enjoy an additional dose of exercise. Also, owning a pet will lower stress rates and it will prevent various types of illnesses. On the other hand, people who are allergic to pets cannot use this opportunity, because it brings more pain than good. From a psychological standpoint, pets can offer love and companionship. What is more, they enjoy comfortable silences and they can keep secrets. Moreover, people who own dogs have less fear of being victims of crime both when they are out with their dogs, and at home. However, some dogs can behave unpredictably and attack their own people. On the whole, I believe that having a pet is the best thing that we can do. Pets can be very loveable and useful. They can give you a lot of energy, so save some money and find some time.

He was treating a child who was very withdrawn and refused to talk. One day, Dr Levinson took his dog Jingles to the therapy session and, to his surprise, the child began stroking and cuddling the dog. Through more contact With Jingles, the child became increasingly open and approachable and Levinson was able to complete the psychotherapy successfully.  But what aspect of the animal-human relationship is the cause of such benefits? Does the companionship of animals fulfill certain basic human needs that are still not fully understood, but which are nevertheless vital to our sense of well-being? One recent study revealed that there were significantly fewer minor illnesses such as colds, backaches and stomach problems among adults after they had acquired a pet. "It is difficult to know if they became healthier as a result of acquiring their pet, but they certainly perceived themselves to be so,” the researcher said.

Tjaden's control. At this stage of the novel, Himmelstoss represents the meanest, pettiest, most loathsome aspects of humanity that war draws out. But when he is sent to fight at the front, Himmelstoss experiences the same terror and trauma as the other soldiers, and he quickly tries to make amends for his past behavior. In this way, Remarque exhibits the frightening and awesome power of the trenches, which transform even a mad disciplinarian into a terrorized soldier desperate for human companionship. Summary This statement, from the novel's epigraph, sets up the intent of All Quiet on the Western Front: to discuss a generation of men who, though they survived the war physically, were destroyed by it mentally. Chapter One opens with Paul Bäumer, the narrator, and the other members of the Second Company, a unit of German soldiers fighting during World War I, resting after being relieved from the front lines. They have spent the last two weeks at the front in constant battle. Out of

called it. They tried to persuade him, and he tried to persuade them, to no avail. At that point, Carlisle decided to try the New World. He dreamed of finding others like himself. He was very lonely, you see. "He didn't find anyone for a long time. But, as monsters became the stuff of fairy tales, he found he could interact with unsuspecting humans as if he were one of them. He began practicing medicine. But the companionship he craved evaded him; he couldn't risk familiarity. "When the influenza epidemic hit, he was working nights in a hospital in Chicago. He'd been turning over an idea in his mind for several years, and he had almost decided to act -- since he couldn't find a companion, he would create one. He wasn't absolutely sure how his own transformation had occurred, so he was hesitant. And he was loath to steal anyone's life the way his had been stolen. It was in that frame of mind that he found me
