The main characters in the film are Jonathan, who at first is sceptical about Sara's beliefs as well as frustrated, and Sara, who believes in letting fate take its course. Jonathan Trager was played by John Cusack, a Blockbuster Entertainment Award winner for his role in ,,Con air". Sara Thomas is played by the charming Kate Beckinsale, who also played in an Oscar winning movie ,,Pearl harbor". Personally I believe in fate since often things appear to be more than just mere coincidences. I found it to be one of the most enjoyable romantic comedies I've seen, however I did find it to be rather unrealistic or rather too good to be true. I do not agree, that it was a sickeningly sweet love story. It was still enjoyable. However I do agree on feelings and intuitions being important in our lives.
wrote and performed comedy revues. CAREER Rowan Atkinson has written sketch comedies like Blackadder and Not the Nine o'Clock News. His acting career began in 1983 when he got a small roll in the James Bond movie 'Never Say Never Again'. Since then, he has gained further recognition with movies like Four Weddings and a Funeral; Johnny English or Mr Bean's Holiday. My personal favourite is Mr Bean's Holiday because it's filled with humour and ridiculous coincidences. During his career, he's won different awards. For instance, he has been announced the Best Actor in the European Movie Awards in 2003 FAMILY Atkinson has been married to Sunetra Sastry since 1990. He first met her in the late 1980s, when she was working as a make-up artist with the BBC. The couple married at the Russian Tea Room In New York City on 5th February. They have two kids: Lily and Benjamin. FACTS
Questions related to my future have become very frequent lately. People are all the time asking questions about my future and it is always been very hard to give a complete answer about it. I have mentioned my interests then and that at the moment my dream is to study political science in England after the military service here. To tell the truth, I don’t know who I would like to be in the future. To my mind, it is always hard to talk about future because it is a path of coincidences. Future events tends to appear unexpectedly- it is impossible to say which factors are going to determine my life in the end. My greatest goal in life is to be happy but the moment it is pretty difficult to say something certain about my future. Everyone has to hash out exactly what makes them happy and after that pursue their dream. This is my aim for the future and I’m surely going to move towards it Albert Schweitzer has said that success is not the key to happiness
the universe will not be on your side; life will not be helpful. If the shutters are closed, the sunlight cannot come in. When you yield internally, when you surrender, a new dimension of consciousness opens up. If action is possible or necessary, your action will be in alignment with the whole and supported by creative intelligence, the unconditioned consciousness which in a state of inner openness you become one with. Circumstances and people then become helpful, cooperative. Coincidences happen. If no action is possible, you rest in the peace and inner stillness that come with surrender. You rest in God. CHAPTER THREE THE CORE OF EGO Most people are so completely identified with the voice in the head – the incessant stream of involuntary and compulsive thinking and the emotions that accompany it – that we may describe them as being possessed by their mind
An uncomfortable situation builds up until that one last straw sends him on the adventure. Joe Buck in Midnight Cowboy has simply had enough of washing dishes in a diner and feels the Call building up inside h i m to hit the road of adventure. In a deeper sense, his universal human need is driving him, but it takes that one last miserable day in the diner to push h i m over the edge. SYNCHRONICITY A string of accidents or coincidences may be the message that calls a hero to adventure. T h i s is the mysterious force of synchronicity which C. G. Jung explored in his writings. T h e coincidental occurrence of words, ideas, or events can take on meaning and draw attention to the need for action and change. M a n y thrillers such as Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train get rolling because an accident throws two people together as if by the hand of fate. TEMPTATION
