George Gordon Byron
(1788-1824)
· He was a Poet and a politician
· Byron was born in a house on Holles
Street in London.
· He was in many ways the prototype of the
romantic poet.
· He was heavily involved with
contemporary social issues .
· His romances and dramatic poems had a
delirious effect on the European public.
