The Wisdom of Youth There is a proverb "Knowledge in youth is wisdom in age" . People usually assosiate wisdom with older people. Young people don't often feel their voice is being heard. They feel they have lot to give but peole just don't want to give them an opportunity. They might and certanly are seeing things in other perspective than older people do. Older generations are not used with upgrades in and new features in society and thats why they are all saying that the youth is in ....
Max Weber’s Disenchantment of the World: Modern society is secularised, objectivised and rationalised. The Universe does not have a specific Human meaning. It is ruled by the Laws of Nature which are independent of us. Wonders of Nature are just ‘stuff’. Mysteries (Magic) are not feared or admired, they are conquered. We are changing the world and the world is changing us. We live in a techno-scientific world. Our worldview is techno-scientific. Knowledge vs Wisdom The Business of Science (Knowledge) The Business of Philosophy (Wisdom) Does the Earth move? What is the meaning of life? What is the surface of a triangle? Why should I be good? When was the Battle of Waterloo fought? How can we be happy? What is the age of the Earth? What is beauty? How long is the Amazon River? How do we know?
Hagia Sophia is a former patriarchal basilica, later a mosque, now a museum in Istanbul, Turkey. Famous for its massive dome, it is considered the epitome of Byzantine architecture. It was the largest cathedral in the world for nearly a thousand years, until the completion of the Seville Cathedral in 1520. The current building was originally constructed as a church between 532 and 537 A.D. on the orders of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian, and was in fact the third Church of the Holy Wisdom to occupy the site. It was designed by two architects. Church contained a large collection of holy relics and featured, among other things, a 50 foot (15 m) silver iconostasis. It was the patriarchal church of the Patriarch of Constantinople and the religious focal point of the Eastern Orthodox Church for nearly 1000 years. In 1453 Sultan Mehmed II ordered the building to be converted into a mosque. The bells,
Having children while young In my opinion, having children while young is a bad thing, but there are some good thing also. It's a bad thing, because you can't finish school on time. Another point is that you don't have enough money to support the baby. Diapers are very expensive. You are not as experienced in the world, less wise so not only less wisdom to pass on to the kids, but less wisdom on effectively raising your children. You can't enjoy your young and single life, because you have do nurture your child. On the plus side you are much more energetic than some older parents. You will be younger when they grow up and move out, giving you more freedom earlier on. You will see more of their lives before you pass on. For example, many of my friend got a child when they were still in school and they are happy about the baby but also they are so sad because they dropped put

- Beautiful minds (Homer) give us works which will be honored long after we are dead - Beautiful souls (Solon) will create works which we will admire still more and still longer Love takes us out of ourselves and unites us with our object, whether a beautiful body, knowledge, or the gods. Origin of love is poverty and fulfillment. We only seek what we do not have. Love has to be between the ugly and beauty, just like the philosopher (is between ignorant and wisdom). Philosopher seeks wisdom, but he is not ignorant, so he has to have a part of this wisdom. Man is between gods (God) and reprobate- person, who is harden his heart to God. So if man wants to reunite himself with gods, he has to have something god-like (grace, conscience). What we seek is immortality- surviving beyond one's physical death. The future is determining present. 1. Beautiful bodies will give us children, who will honor us after we are dead (but only up to a point).

To protect them, there have been many special wildlife parks set up. Elephants live in Central Africa and are the largest land animals alive today. They eat grass, twigs and some fruit. In many Asian countries elephants are symbols of wisdom and are famed for their memory and high intelligence. Once numbering in the millions, the African elephant population has dwindled to between 470,000 and 690,000 individuals because of people hunting them for their tusks. The elephant is now a protected species worldwide, also the hunting and trading of ivory has been banned to protect them. The Rhinoceros, often colloquially abbreviated rhino, lives in Africa. They eat grass and plants. Rhinoceros
Science reigns people Biochemist Isaac Asimov has once said: “The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.”. The more one thinks about his words, the more they have to be accepted. It is true that science affects people, but the most influential is the part that directly concerns them and their lives. That is why this essay will take a closer look at some of the pros and cons of medical development. I will begin with the positive aspects of medical evolution. Firstly, thanks to advanced medicine, doctors are able to detect diseases at an early stage, or even before they arise, which

Gilead is a story about fathers and sons. The main character John Ames is a preacher in his mid seventies. His heart is failing him and he wants to guarantee that his son grows up well and gets his advice. He has always written down all his sermons and saved them in boxes. He is very keen on writing. John starts writing a letter to his six year-old son. A letter which his son would get to read as a grown-up. It is just like John would write down his biography. John puts down words of advice and wisdom for his son and tells him about the life of a minister and a preacher. John starts his letter with reminding the conversation he had had with his son the night before that he might be gone someday. He talks about death and how dying people have asked him what death is like. He has always said that it is like going home. John starts looking back on his life, reminding his parents and grandparents. His father and grandfather were ministers too and ment a lot to him

It would be naïve to think that the building of a single mosque in our nation's capital would solve all our problems, but it would be a great start. I would like to end my speech with a quote by captain Jean-Luc Picard from the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation: "With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied chains us all irrevocably. Those words were uttered as wisdom and warning. The first time any man's freedom is trodden on, we are all damaged." Thank you all for listening.
1. What does the word “philosophy” mean? The study of proper behaviour and the search for wisdom, in greek means love for wisdom 2. Is philosophy a science? Why? What kind of science it is? Yes it is. It tries to understand the meaning of reality. It’s the science of truth. Science, as it exists today, happens within the framework of philosophy. Philosophy, however, is bigger than science. It is also a form of art and discipline…... 3. Pochahontas (1995) and Nobody in Dead Man (1995). Pop culture has defined the noble savage as a mentor to the modern man, a guide to the spiritual world and to the ways of the nature. In order to qualify as a mentor the character must give us a different perspective on what we are used to experiencing. A savage is perfect for the roll alien traditions, differing appereances, different common knowledge and wisdom. He is something nobody has ever seen. He raises interest in the hero and in the consumer. 20th century literature and film has projected these traits to not only exotic beings but also to every mentor we see in pop culture. A guide in today's story does not have to be a native of a completely different civilization but has to preserve its strange and alien nature. He is a relevant part of the hero's adventure, keeping him on the right tracks and helping him reach his final goal
" ,,BPR derives its existence from different disciplines, and four major areas can be identified as being subjected to change in BPR - organization, technology, strategy, and people - where a process view is used as common framework for considering these dimensions. The approach can be graphically depicted by a modification of "Leavitt's diamond".[8]" Early BPR literature [9] identified several so called disruptive technologies that were supposed to challenge traditional wisdom about how work should be performed. · Shared databases, making information available at many places · Expert systems, allowing generalists to perform specialist tasks · Telecommunication networks, allowing organizations to be centralized and decentralized at the same time · Decision-support tools, allowing decision-making to be a part of everybody's job · Wireless data communication and portable computers, allowing field personnel to

compared members of the Royal Ballet with a squad of British national and international swimmers. In seven out of ten areas of fitness, dancers scored higher than swimmers. Dancing in general increases muscle strength and flexibility, which in turn, improves overall range of motion. It also increases core strength which can improve balance, coordination, and posture. [6] Dancing meditation is one of the easiest ways to discover a calm and quiet place inside you, that is filled with joy, wisdom and love, says Pragito Dove. It helps to express oneself freely through the dance, releases tention and creativity arises and liberates feelings of joy and positivity. The dancing meditation has three stages: fourty minutes dancing freely and blindfolded, twenty minutes lying down in silence and then five miutes more dancing. This technique is the best way to meditate for those, who are having problems staying still. It’s a greate way to direct energy inward. [7]
For example, after his defeat of Grendel, young receives from grateful Danish host the gift of a rich collar. Instead of describing what the collar looked like, the poet first compares it to a collar in ancient legend, and then, looking forward, says that it was later carried by lord and lost by him on his disastrous raid against the Franks. In the poem it is considered very essential to bear in mind both past and future, it is wisdom. But true understandings, and especially a correct anticipation of future events, are things not easy to achieve in an uncertain world. For example, as a young man of little experience determines to give the unarmed Grendel a sporting chance by himself using no weapons (which proved to be a fortunate decision, since Grendel is protected by magic against all weapons). Things go Beowulf's way.

contemplative. He is particularly drawn to difficult questions or questions that cannot be answered with any certainty. Faced with evidence that his uncle murdered his father, evidence that any other character in a play would believe, Hamlet becomes obsessed with proving his uncle's guilt before trying to act. The standard of "beyond a reasonable doubt" is simply unacceptable to him. He is equally plagued with questions about the afterlife, about the wisdom of suicide, about what happens to bodies after they die--the list is extensive. But even though he is thoughtful to the point of obsession, Hamlet also behaves rashly and impulsively. When he does act, it is with surprising swiftness and little or no premeditation, as when he stabs Polonius through a curtain without even checking to see who he is. He seems to step very easily into the role of a madman, behaving

He writes in the first person so the reader can identify and deeply understand the truths he wished to share about the meaning of life and man's relationship with the Creator. Dante is remembered as a great thinker and one of the most learned writers of all time. Many scholars consider his epic poem The Divine Comedy consisting of Inferno, Paradiso, and Purgatorio, among the finest works of all literature. Critics have praised it not only as magnificent poetry, but also for its wisdom and scholarly learning. Dante was a man who lived, who saw political and artistic success, and who was in love. He was also a man who was defeated, who felt danger and the humiliation of exile, and who was no stranger to the cruelty and treachery possible in people. Dante felt he was a victim of a grave injustice. He also suffered serious self-doubts, natural for a man in exile. His works reflect his experiences and attempts to answer some of life's difficult questions.

It would make little sense to use a human, since the human could reason to answer the questions (Poe, 1850). In "The Raven" it is important that the answers to the questions are already known, to illustrate the self-torture to which the narrator exposes himself. This way of interpreting signs that do not bear a real meaning, is "one of the most profound impulses of human nature" (Quinn, 1998:441). Another obvious symbol is the bust of Pallas. Why did the raven decide to perch on the goddess of wisdom? One reason could be, because it would lead the narrator to believe that the raven spoke from wisdom, and was not just repeating its only "stock and store," and to signify the scholarship of the narrator. Another reason for using "Pallas" in the poem was, according to Poe himself, simply because of the "sonorousness of the word, Pallas, itself" (Poe, 1850). A less obvious symbol, might be the use of "midnight" in the first verse, and "December" in the second verse

Teiste sõnadega: minu sisekeskkond- see olen mina ise, keskkond, kus elavad minu rakud

sentence: “It was Woman, with her sudden fears, her irrational whims, her instinctive fears, her unprovoked bravado, her daring and her delicious delicacy of feeling” Who is speaking in this way? Is it the story’s hero, concerned to ignore the castrato con- cealed beneath the woman? Is it the man Balzac, endowed by his personal experience with a philosophy of Woman? Is it the author Balzac, professing certain “literary” ideas of femininity? Is it universal wisdom? or romantic psychology? It will always be impossible to know, for the good reason that all writing is itself this special voice, consisting of several indiscernible voices, and that literature is precisely the invention of this voice, to which we cannot assign a specific origin: literature is that neuter, that composite, that oblique into which every subject escapes, the trap where all identity is lost, beginning with the very identity of the body that writes.
Knows almost every grain of Plutus' gold, Finds bottom in the uncomprehensive deeps, Keeps place with thought, and almost like the gods Does thoughts unveil in their dumb cradles. The increasing awareness of the action of media, quite independently of their "content" or programming, was indicated in the annoyed and anonymous stanza: In modern thought, (if not in fact) Nothing is that doesn't act, So that is reckoned wisdom which Describes the scratch but not the itch. The same kind of total, configurational awareness that reveals why the medium is socially the message has occurred in the most recent and radical medical theories. In his Stress o f Life, Hans Selye tells of the dismay of a research colleague on hearing of Selye's theory: When he saw me thus launched on yet another enraptured description of what I had
Secondly, I will examine how the plague reached Great Britain. After that I will describe how people dealt with the plague and what the government decided to do with the corpses. Subsequently I will write about plague doctors, what they wore as a protection against the plague, how people invented different techniques to fight the plague and what the City Corporation did with cats and dogs. Finally, I will share the wisdom what I acquired on the fading point of the plague and how people thought that the Great Fire of London put an end to the Great Plague. 2 1 BUBONIC PLAGUE Bubonic plague also known has Black Death got its name from the symptoms because the victim's skin turned black. The plague spread from animals to humans by fleas. Nowadays bubonic plague does not spread to advanced countries which are located in Europe. Last greater plague outbreak was in Kongo Democratic Republic

They approach innovation in its broadest sense, including both new technologies and new ways of doing things” – (Porter 1990) ● “An innovative business is one which lives and breathes “outside the box”. Almost always, this is done poorly and not appreciated by the admissions committee. There is nothing worse than not laughing at something that was meant to be funny or amusing. A good essay tells a story about the applicant - it's not a life history; rather it is a glimpse into the life of the applicant. Treat your essay as a snapshot, each of us has different selves at different times: sometimes we are clowning about, while other times we are demonstrating wisdom. Pick one of your better selves, one that seems interesting, rich with meaning and alive with imagery and write an essay about it. There, does that not sound easy? After you have gathered your thoughts and research and come up with a topic to write about, you are ready to write the first draft of your essay. You may want to break up your essay into different parts by creating an outline before you start writing your essay. Actually Writing the Essay
In recent decade on the internet scene appeared such term as `weblog', the later version of which had been simplified and is nowadays known as `blog'. Due to the fact that these `personal online, web-based publications' (Armstrong & Retterer, 2009, p. 233) have found a broad response among many users both on leisure and professional level, the amount of definitions rose highly as well. Term `weblog' originally was coined in 1997 by John Barger and Robert Wisdom as they defined it as a `webpage where a web logger `logs' all the other webpage's he/she finds interesting' 4 (Armstrong & Retterer, 2009, p. 233). Since then it has simply been referred to as `a blog' and explained as it is `an online journal that users can continuously update, in their own words, online' (Matheson, 2004, p. 449)
Islami meditsiin keskajal Keskaegne islami meditsiin oli mõjutatud mitmetest eelnevatest meditsiini traditsioonidest. Näiteks Muhamedi aegsest araabia meditsiinist, hellenismi unani meditsiinist, Hippocratese ja Galeni õpetustest, India Ayurvedast ja Pärsia meditsiinist (eriti Gunsishapuri akadeemia). Islami traditsioonis peetakse esimeseks moslemi arstiks Muhamedi ennast.
