Does children who have a very high IQ need special education at schools?
Some people say that children who have a very high IQ need special
education at schools that are specifically designed for people like
them. I couldn't agree more because usually people with very high IQ
are a little bit different than people who have normal IQ.
First of all, I would like to say that when kids are in elementary
school and some of them are smarter and quicker than others they may
be labeled as nerds and weirdos. They are also often ostracized.
Another thing is that, in extremis gifted children often knows more
than their teachers and are very bored. Gifted students need more than
most regular schools can offer to them to improve their knowledge.
On the other hand, some of them, who have very high IQ, may be
very different than normal people. Some of them may have disabilities
like autism, anxiety. With them they absolutely cannot learn in regular
schools.
