''How much does life weigh?''

Some may hold into these 21 grams one truly valuable life with everything in it. Others may hold a life, that has just passed by. These are the people who have done nothing but just existing for their whole lives. Something needs to be done in order to be content with your life. Before actual dying, people start to think their whole life through. This is the time, when we forget the little things that once seemed awfully important, and start to think a little further. A question ''Did my life weigh enough?'' could be asked. It sure does not mean the measurements. It can be compared with an everyday life, where worth things cost more. Still, the most important things do not cost a penny. Therefore the weight of our souls - 21 grams - an unbelievably small number, does not make our lives less worth. Even though the amount is really small, it does not stop an one-of-a-kind person from having a soul with this weight.

Polar bear Ursus maritimus or the "sea bear." Polar bears live near the circumpolar at north in areas where they can hunt seals at open leads. Scientists estimate that there are between 22000 to 27000 polar bears. Its closest relative is the brown bear. Adult male polar bears are 2,5 to 3 meters tall. They weigh 250 to 770 kilograms. Adult female bears are smaller. They are about 1,8 to 2,5 meters tall and weigh 90 to 320 kilograms. Polar bears usually eat seals usually the ringed seasl, but sometimes the bearded seals. When hunting is good, polar bears will typically eat only the fat and leave the rest of the carcass for scavengers including arctic foxes, ravens, and younger bears. Polar bears also sometimes kill and eat both walrus and beluga whales. They have even hunted short-legged reindeer and sometimes even birds and bird eggs. Polar bears are top of the food chain in the Arctic

Hiidpanda/Bambuskaru

The giant panda lives in a few mountain ranges in central China. As a result of farming, deforestation and other development, the panda has been driven out of the lowland areas where it once lived. The Chinese language has given the bear 20 different names, such as ,,large bear cat'' or ,,bamboo bear'. Unlike other bear species, pandas have round pupils. Pandas are known for their large black patches around their eyes, ears and across their round bodies. Male pandas can weigh up to 160 kg and females can weigh as little as 75 kg. The giant panda's thick, wooly coat keeps it warm in the cool forests. It has strong jaw muscles and teeth for eating tough bamboo. Giant pandas are generally solitary. Each adult has a defined territory and female pandas do not tolerate each other. Pandas are known to attack humans, but rather out of irritation than aggression. Pandas are endangered species, threatened by continued habitat loss and by a very low birthrate

Draw a line on the flask at the bottom edge of the stopper in order to measure the volume of the flask in step 5. 2. Fill the flask with carbon dioxide gas. Direct the gas from the CO 2 tank into the flask for about 7-8 minutes. The tip of the hose has to be in the bottom but not very closely against the bottom. Otherwise it may happen that all of the CO 2 will exit from other branches of the hose bundle. 3. Seal the flask quickly and weigh again for the mass (m2=mflask+stopper+CO2). 4. Additionally direct more carbon dioxide into the flask for 1-2 minutes, seal and weigh again. Continue to fill the flask until a constant mass (m2) is obtained. Usually the difference between m2 and m1 is about 0,17-0,22 g. Write data into Table 1. Table 1. The mass of a flask. Mass (g) ± 0.005 m1 ( flask + stopper +air ) 148,66g

But is my glass half-full or half-empty? To answer this question I have to weigh all the pros and cons. For example, sometimes in hard situations I just give up, because I just can no longer force this. But I still know, that somewhere deep in my heart there is hope that everything will be alright. That is why I can proudly call myself an optimistic person! And I want to give you good advice! Living in the Big Apple

Living in the Big Apple The Big Apple is a wonderful place to live but it has its own drawbacks. First and foremost, if live in the Big Apple you are exposed to the diversity of people, which gives you an oppurtunity to enrich yourself by seeing other cultures. Despite the fact that living in New York is a big financial struggle you can still have a lot of fun on budget. Furthermore, there are a lot of shops in New York which are open 24 hours a day, so everything is at your fingertips. On the other hand, there is a lot of pollution and noise in the Big Apple, but I think it's acceptable for a hudge city like New York. Besides the pollution and noise, there is a much bigger problem in the Big Apple and that problem is crime. It's becoming a dangerous place to live, but the clampdown on crime has improved the city tremendously. The agressive nature of New Yorkers is also a problem peole are pushing you out of the way on the subway or ...

Friendship

Friendship Friendship is an in-depth relationship combining trust, support, loyalty, respect and understanding. Being able to trust and relax with your friend is a big part of friendship. Friendship is a feeling of comfort and emotional safety with a person. It is when you do not have to weigh your thoughts and measure words, before keeping it forth before your friend. It is when someone knows you better than yourself and assures to be your side in every emotional crisis. Different people have different definitions of friendship. For some, it is the trust in an individual that he or she won't hurt you. For others, it is unconditional love. There are some who feel that friendship is companionship. People form definitions based on the kind of experiences they have had.

manner as low-speed engines. 1.1.1.5) Also known as slow-speed, or traditionally oil engines, the largest diesel engines are primarily used to power ships, although there are a few land-based power generation units as well. These extremely large two-stroke engines have power outputs up to approximately 85 MW (114,000 hp), operate in the range from approximately 60 to 200 rpm and are up to 15 m (50 ft) tall, and can weigh over 2,000 short tons (1,800 t). 1.1.2)A steam turbine is a device that extracts thermal energy from pressurized steam and uses it to do mechanical work on a rotating output shaft. Its modern manifestation was invented by Sir Charles Parsons in 1884.[1] Because the turbine generates rotary motion, it is particularly suited to be used to drive an electrical generator about 90% of all electricity generation in the United States (1996) is by use of steam turbines

My Town

metres. It is definitely an extraordinary building and definitely one of my favourite places in Tallinn. Town Hall Square is the age-old centre of Tallinn where many streets meet. It was known as the Big Market Place in the 11 th century, and the market itself was only removed to another location as late as 1896. over the centuries the square, lined with beautiful medieval buildings, was the centre of social life the most crowded place in the town with its market stalls, weigh houses, the pillory and so on. The square has witnessed executions, festivals, carnivals and wedding ceremonies. Town Hall Square has retained its old function: it is popular among tourists and local people as a meeting place or a starting point for sightseeing. It's also the location of Estonia's most important Christmas tree. Records state that a tree was first placed there in 1441, earlier than in any other European country.

Turbo ja kompressor(inglise keeles)

Since the invention of the internal combustion engine, automotive engineers, speed junkies and racecar designers have been searching for ways to boost its power. One way to add power is to build a bigger engine. But bigger engines, which weigh more and cost more to build and maintain, are not always better. Another way to add power is to make a normal-sized engine more efficient. You can accomplish this by forcing more air into the combustion chamber. More air means more fuel can be added, and more fuel means a bigger explosion and greater horsepower. A turbo/supercharged engine produces more power overall than the same engine without the charging. Both superchargers and turbochargers do this

The Cataclysmic Death of Stars

Once the star's core turns to solid iron--a sphere no bigger than Earth that weighs as much as the sun--its fate is sealed. In less than a second, the star will explode. Iron marks the end of the road because unlike lighter elements, iron atoms consume rather than create energy when they fuse. Fusion can no longer provide the energy to support the star's outer layers, and the core simply implodes. Usually the result is a neutron star, a stellar cinder so dense a teaspoon would weigh more than a billion tons. In the most massive stars the collapse leaves only a voracious pit called a black hole. At this point, Woosley believes--before the collapse somehow turns into an explosion--some supernovas unleash a blast of gamma rays. Woosley's interest in these bursts goes back decades, when they were so mysterious that over a hundred more or less serious ideas about their cause were in play, from "starquakes" to the exhaust plumes of alien spacecraft. But his fascination

In Estonia civil law categories are usually: law of property, law of obligations, family law, law of succession, commercial law, intellectual property law, private international law. In civil law plaintiff brings case against defendant into court and has to prove case "on the balance of probabilities". Court will weigh all the evidence and decide what is most probable. Once plaintiff has shown that the defendant is liable, the main argument in civil court is about the amount of money or damages, which the defendant should pay to the plaintiff. ____________________________________________________________________ 6. that other authors does not mention at all, therefore this definition is more usable in many concepts, it is wide, however focused. Although, these definitions are different from their point of view, there are some similarities and common areas to discuss. Most widely used themes of defining ST are environmental and benefit to local communities. Benefit to local communities is appearing on four and a half times out of five, this means that all above mentioned authors weigh up interests of local people and community, who are in fact one of the most important parts of sustaining destination, through its people. Second best theme is environmental issues, four authors out of five are mentioning that preserving and monitoring of environment is very important part of sustainable tourism management. In third place all will come equally - economic, cultural and benefits to stakeholders. These themes are mentioned

awarded damages by a criminal court judge. The standards of proof are higher in a criminal action than in a civil one since the loser risks not only financial penalties but also being sent to prison (or, in some countries, executed). In English law the prosecution must prove the guilt of a criminal "beyond reasonable doubt"; but the plaintiff in a civil action is required to prove his case "on the balance of probabilities". Thus, in a civil case, the court will weigh all the evidence and decide what is most probable. Criminal and civil procedure are different. Although some systems, including the English, allow a private citizen to bring a criminal prosecution against another citizen, criminal actions are nearly always started by the state. Civil actions, on the other hand, are usually started by individuals. This was a short overview of criminal procedures, thank you for listening. Terms to explain
