Tourism

Tourism For ages people have had a constant urge to travel different and new places. Today tourism is a global multi-billion industry and essential as an income for many countries. What are the pros and cons of it? Should we limit the flow of tourists or let them come and sometimes stay forever? As I mentioned before, one of the most positive thing about tourism is money. Basicly tourists creat jobs and give people a chance to do something with their lives. The money and taxes, that all the hotels and companys pay, help to develop the local community. Tourism is also a reason to keep the crime down and the streets clean of rubbish. As a tourist it is also a way to learn about other cultures. It is possible to go almost averywhere and to do almost everything. As the tsunami few months ago proved can total destruction of tourism-industry be quite

Tourism

Tourism is one of the most developing kind of services in the world. However, it brings us not only benefits, but also dangers. I would like to discuss the problem in the following composition. Tourism can be very profitable. Especially when the country or an area is attractive and good weather is guaranteed. The most popular places to which people come are mountains, sea or lakes. The advantage of tourism is the mutual cooperation of the tourists and people who are working in this branch. These first can spend their time relaxing themselves. These second earn money. It's said that travel broadens the mind. I think it's true because we can meet another people and visit various places all over the world. We can find out more about foreign cultures and traditions or languages. In this sense traveling can be an instructive experience.

Still, mass tourism has both good and bad sides. On the onehand, there are some advantages with broading mass tourism. In the first place, mass tourism is great because it increases country's income. Moreover, authorities are forced to clean up polluted areas. For example, tourists prefer clean area against dirty and polluted place. Finally mass tourism can increase population of country. Fair Trade Tourism Local people have often been the last to benefit financially from international tourism. But this is slowly changing. It's happening in Vietnam. The first tourists can see many famous war sites, towns and vibrant green paddy fields. But if they go up into the hills they find a region inhabited by hill tribe people, who live basic, subsistence life. Local people are looking at tourists with fear and disdain. In the villages children are playing and mothers with elaborate headdresses are getting on their daily lives, but if tourists come, they run indoors and villages become silent

So should countries encourage tourism? Tourism has many advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are that countries have more money so they can improve its infrastructure which is a benefit for the local people. For example, roads and communication links built. Tourism - good or bad

Tourism-good or bad ? Nowadays in many countries, tourism is one of the fastest growing industries and it can bring enormous advantages to countries, especially poor ones. It may seem that tourism bring only benefits, but further consideration shows that it also has disadvantages. To start with, tourism offers many benefits. Tourists spend money on local goods and services ,so the area can get much money to develop the other essential public services, for example education and health. Also tourism services such as roads, bars, hotels, restaurants and other leisure facilities are built. Thanks to it, local people can get more jobs. Finally, tourism allows both the tourist and the local community a chance to experience other cultures.

What are the Advantages and Disadvantages of Tourism

What are the Advantages and Disadvantages of Tourism? In today's world tourism is vital part of economy. Although tourism has became main source of income to many countries, it was not so couple of decades ago. This young branch of industry started developing in the second half of last century, when people had more money and sources than ever before. Importance of tourism to countries such as Egypt, Greece and Spain can not be questioned, as employment, service industry and opportunity to sell goods, is related to it. Tourism has also helped to build up certain regions, which otherwise would still be struggling in poverty. Futhermore, to make country desirable destination, governments have to keep crime rate under control, which makes life safer for locals as well. On the negative side, relentless waves of tourists increase our carbon footprint. Transportation

Adventure Tourism Project Management Madli Tuvike There is no such thing as a totally sustainable tourism (Swarbrooke, 1999). Tourism as one of the leading industries in the world is contributing to sustainable development (Mintel, 2005). Tourism needs to cope with changing world and world order, also trends that are occurring. Sustainable tourism is one rising industry in tourism market. Swarbroke (1999) and David (2011) are suggesting that sustainable tourism and sustainability is taking wider part in tourism industry. Moreover, Mintel (2005) states that tourism contribution to sustainable development is being recognised increasingly by governments and international organisations. Turismitrendid

Holloway (1998, viidatud Jakobson 2003 vahendusel) definitsiooni kohaselt haarab turism tegevusi, mis on seotud inimeste reisimise ja viibimisega väljaspool nende elukohta mitte kauem kui üks aasta järjest vaba aja veetmise, äri või muudel eesmärkidel. Põhjusi, miks inimesed reisivad on erinevaid ja seetõttu jaguneb turism ka mitmeks erinevaks osaks. UNWTO ehk Maailma Turismiorganisatsiooni järgi liigitatakse turismi järgnevalt: · väljaminev turism (outbound tourism, outgoing tourism); · sissetulev turism (inbound tourism, incoming tourism); · siseturism (domestic tourism).

See teeb turistide elu palju lihtsamaks, eriti lastega reisivate klientide jaoks. Hind ja kvaliteet oleneb reisifirmast, kuid seal saab valida ka lisateenuseid või jätta näiteks söök tellimata (Mass tourism the..., i.a).

Iga turismivorm võib olla säästev turism, seega on see laiem kategooria kui näiteks suusaturism või sporditurism. very low and owners don't take care of the land at the river bank. Some scientists think that letting the grasslands grow untouched is good for the biodiversity, but this is not the case here. For example eagles, which hunt on these grounds just abandon these areas and move on to nest somewhere else. Also the growth of the bigger trees is hindered by the underwood vegetation, which consist of willow, alder and aspen. Pärnu river affords many opportunities for tourism and recreational activity. As an example: 1) Fishing: There is a fish farm in Roosna-Alliku that breed rainbow trouts 2) Canoeing: There are several enterprises (e.g. Edela Loodusmatkad OÜ) which offer canoeing trip for a day or up to 3 days. Too much money is being spent on preserving the old part of town

Many people claim that spending money on preserving the old parts of Tallinn is not the best idea when people are having hard times. They are having trouble with making money in the first place. Also there are other fields, which are more important than the Old Town, such as education that need to be financed. Nevertheless, the Old Town is very important to tourism. For this reason money spent on old parts of Tallinn is not money wasted. Tourism is extremely important in todays economy and the Old Town of Tallinn is the main Estonian tourist attraction. It even became a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site and it is often referred to as the medieval pearl of Europe. I believe that conserving old parts of Tallinn is absolutely justified. The Old Town is truly beautiful and we should not take it for granted. In orded to preserve it's beauty we need to

Consumer behavior

And personality is a difficult phenomenon to measure. Mascardo et al. focused on the activities, but not always people decide to go somewhere only based on the activities the destination has to offer. In my case it was adequate, that is why I chose his model and described my decision making process according to it. References Cooper, C. & Gilbert, D. 2008.
