How far can we go being tolerant?

Despite of that, many countries have allowed people with different sexual orientations to get married and even adopt children. There have even been gay parades even in Estonia, not to mention the ones that have been organised in world capitals like Rome and Berlin. Tough it is surrounded with a lot of critizism, it is a huge step to grew people's tolerance. My father once told me that earlobs can show people's tolerance. The longer the lobs, the more tolerant the person. It might be a fairytale or a grain of truth. If it is a fairytale, then he just wanted show-off his long earlobs. If it has some kind of truth inside of it, then we should start immidiately to sretch our earlobs with heavy earrings. I believe that neither of those statements is true. I think that all 6,5 billion human beings living on the planet of Earth are all the same, because we share the ground we're standing and history we're knowing. We should be tolerant to every

How far can we go being tolerant?

Tolerance is the ability to be fair and understanding to people whose ways and opinions are different from one's own. It seems like a good and challenging streak to have, but the question is, how far we can go with it. I would say not very far. More and more media and public encourage us to be tolerant to homosexuals and their lifestyle and many countries have actually made their marriages legal and tolerate them. Also, there have been numerous discussions on whether they should have the right to have, adopt and raise children. To me, it is absolutely unacceptable because this is not normal. They could have good facilities for bringing up children and lots of love to give them, but in my eyes it just is not suitable for a child.

How far can we go being tolerant?

How far can we go being tolerant? Tolerance- it is the willingness to accept or tolerate somebody ot something especially opinions or behaviuor that you may not agree with, or people who are not like you. When we speak about tolerance and being tolerant, then of course all of us do not have the same opinion about tolerance. There is saying that there are as many different opinions as people in the world and talking about tolerance is not different. How we tolerate other people and their behaviour depends a lot of how we are raised and educated, where we live and who we connect to When we hear word ,,tolerant" then mostly we connect it with homo sexuals, racism,

Tolerance and Diversity

never evaluate anything by its appearance in order not to come to the wrong conclusion. People are very easily affected. Media and television are the main influencers. People today just watch television, read newspapers, magazines and take almost everything they say very seriously. Sometimes it seems that people's brains have been paralyzed by the media. They are not able to think themselves, which leads them to stereotypes created by mass media. Today young people are more tolerant than the elder ones. They don't have stereotypes of people built in their mind. In addition they are not influenced by elder's opinions. Elder people do not agree with the fact that their daughter or son might get married to a representative of another race. However young people would say that love is blind and so is friendship. Diversity is related to tolerance. Countries with rich diversity also do not have a tolerance problem

Tolerance.

That points us to the fact that religious people are often persecuted and even the Bible says, that the life of a Christian is no picnic, you have to stand above mockery and the fact that you may be rejected from the society. Of course there are many people who think differently. The facts that Christians burned heretics, tortured thousands of innocent people until they confessed to something they did not do and that Christianity goes against science makes us difficult to be tolerant. Some of us may have a question: "Why should we be kind to them if they have done so much bad to us?" There are no us or they. We all have our good and bad sides. However evolution doesn't like tolerance. Tolerance means, that we will accept all abnormalities and freaks. It will corrupt our system and stop evolution in its tracks. Already human average IQ is falling due to too tolerant habitat for people. For a conclusion I must say that we should be considerate with everybody

The highest result of education is tolerance

The highest result of education is tolerance Ladies and gentleman! Today I will discuss a topic what is opened by a quote by beautiful Helen Keller: The highest result of education is tolerance. Today is the day you will understand that her quote is accurate. So I should probably start with a question. Why should we be tolerant to weird kids at school? Does anybody in this room know why?........Okay, let's just drop that question for now, we'll come back to it later. If I would ask you Where do we get our education from you all would probably say: From schools duuuh! But what is a school? Tallinn English College? Yeah, it is a school with all those fancy numbers with what you can become successful........but the greatest education comes from the life school where we learn about other people's views and thoughts. and asks him if he could kill the monster for him. Victor dies and soon Walton manages to talk to the monster. The story ends with the monster sailing away on an ice shelf. I really enjoyed reading this book because I adore horror movies and ghost books. It was deep, touching, sad and exciting. I believe that Mary Shelley tried to show that we should not judge people by their appearance and that we should look in the person's character deeper. The society should be more tolerant and kind. Luckily nowadays this is not such a big problem as it used to be. I liked the eloquent writing style and the authors' ability to put real emotions into the story. It made me feel empathic sometimes for Victor and sometimes for the monster. The book illustrates the good and evil qualities of its main characters and shows how weak and frightened people can be. I do think that this story will remain popular because it has inspired many other books and

Living in the countryside is boring

the difficulties they are creating a children centre, where all the young people can come together. Nevertheless there are a lot of children who won't even bother to do something to change their lives, although they will probably just be whining to their parents how boring it is in the countryside. In my opinion, living in the countryside is awesome. I think that people, who live outside of big cities are more tolerant and friendly. To sum up I have lived in countryside all my life and I am not complaining. I have friends here and I can deal with my hobbies. On the other hand I am not denying that living in a city would be even richer, but also I think I would rather live here. Moreover the environment where we grow up shapes who we are and finally growing up in the countryside forms you a better person.

That what friends are for Friend is a person who accepts you for who you are and not because what you have, a person who corrects you when you are wrong and shares with you your good moments, as well the bad ones. That's what friendship means. The purpose of my article is to describe my friendship. To begin with, friendship is not made overnight, it took years for us to become friends. We had known each other for over four years but then we did not socialize with each other. We started to interact more after fifth grade. Now we have been friends for seven years. Secondly, the best words to describe my friend are helpful, confident, cautious, patient, tolerant all the qualities that a friend should have. He listen me if I have complicated situations and supports me in every way when it is necessary. Lastly, I am glad that I have a friend in my life. Collecting and recording fish data reveals what species are surviving and inhabiting a particular stream system and to what extent the aquatic ecosystem is maintaining that population. Depending on the type of stream visited and the field chemistry and habitat measurements taken, biologists have certain expectations of what type of species they should expect to find. When this ends up not being the case, as where warm water pollutant tolerant species are found in what would be considered cold water species habitat, then the biologists look closer into possible causes for the ecological imbalance. When combined with water chemistry, habitat, and stream invertebrate information, a clear picture of the ecological system is brought in to focus from which sound management decisions can be made. 8.1 Introduction · Electrofishing - use of electricity to: capture fish guide fish block the movement of

A business student´s insight into life in Estonia

Also in Estonia there are lower prices than neighboring Scandinavian countries. Estonians are successful in creating different e-government solutions. We have e-school, e- voting and e-stores. Also the Skype is partly invented by estonians. A lot of talented people come from Estonia. Interesting about Estonia is that, although it is very small coutry it is still really popular among foreign stuents. It means that we have good education system. Consequently we can say that estonians are tolerant and foreign students feel comfortabe while living Estonia. Negative side is unemployment. It has decreased compared with the last year, but it is still too high. Also a lot of young people are unemployed. It might be caused by the economical crisis, which stopped in fall 2010. Now our economy has risen and situatsion is going to be better. In conclusion i would like to say that life in Estonia is good. The economy is not in a bad situation any more and we can get through the difficulties

The invention of the car changed the world

In the other hand for example in the winter mornings, looking out of the window is cold enough to send shivers down to our spines,we´d thank the lord that there is a warm car in the garage, ready to take us to school or work, without beeing frozened. Everything has it ´s own good and bad sides, which often compensate eachother. It´s hard to discuss how important something is about one thing and how ,,nothing" is the other thing. In that situation we have to make compromises and stay tolerant. Of course cars are bad and make our gorgeous nature fade away but we also need those machines to keep on moving as we are used to. Let´s just hope there will be next smart inventor, who will come up with some kind of clever idea to move from one place to another wtihout getting on other peoples way or polluting the atmosphere.

This can be seen by the number of Mallards living in urban areas, in much greater frequency than other ducks. I learnt also one main statement "thank you very much" in Thai language which sounds as "kop-khun-mama- mama" ; I think one aspect worth to mention which also makes Thailand of my favourite place is that people in Thailand are very kind, friendly and tolerant. Thailand is often called the ''land of smiles'', and that's true because you can see more smiling people there than anywhere else in the world. And this is not the "American smile", if you know what I mean. Nature, climate and people all together make the feeling so good in Thailand that you really feel yourself as being in paradise. Should a mosque be built in Tallinn?

Should a mosque be built in Tallinn? Dear classmates and teacher, Today I want to talk to you about a topic that has brought with it a great deal of controversy in recent years. Namely, should the construction of a mosque in Tallinn be permitted? Estonians often like to pride themselves for being more tolerant and open-minded than those from other post-soviet nations. This sort of a progressive mindset, however, rarely extends to the principles of religious freedom. But why? Why are so many people opposed to something that in its core is just another place of worship much-like any other? After all, the construction of the mosque wouldn't even be funded by tax-payers. In addition, most of us don't oppose the building of churches, even though Estonia is

Without prejudgement people would see and think like they really do, not by others and it is the best way to be tolerant. Because we should respect our culture, their culture and of course one another.

When Orlando said that she loved Shel, they discovered something at the same time. He comprehended that Orlando was a man and Orlando realized that Shel was a woman. He could not believe that Orlando was a woman because she was ,,as tolerant and free-spoken as a man" and Orlando was astonished because Shel was ,,as strange and subtle as a woman". Surprisingly their relationship did not get weird after that, on the contrary they got along even better and understood each other perfectly. In Shel, Orlando found someone like her, an individual not defined by his gender. He combines qualities of both genders, and is thus compatible with Orlando. Acid Rain

Acid deposition may influence forest vegetation and soils. It removes soil nutrients such as calcium and magnesium from soils in high elevation forests. Acid rain may also help weaken natural defenses of some trees, making them more vulnerable to some diseases and pests. Acid rain wears away the waxy protective coating of leaves, damaging them and preventing them from being able to photosynthesize properly. Many animals and insects are sensitive to acidification. Frogs are relatively tolerant of low pH, but the insects upon which they feed are not. Lichens, mosses and fungi are also particularly sensitive to acid deposition. Acid rain may lead to increases in nitrogen in forests. Nitrogen is important plant nutrient, but it some situations it leads to nitrogen saturation. Nitrates can remove additional calcium and magnesium from the soils. Social effects Humans can become seriously ill, even die from the effects of acid rain

To change students negative opinion about veganism I would suggest that schools should educate children about veganism and talk about it in a positive way rather than how terrible it is. One key word is definitely media. Media could reflect how good veganism is because 20 people who live vegan lifestyle are not worse than omnivors. I think positive reflection on this topic would make people more tolerant about veganism. The results of this research show students have pretty little knowledge of veganness and its positive aspects. In addition, students return to omnivorous lifestyle if the quality of the meat goes better or if its proved veganism is unhealthy way of living. Keywords: healthiness, omnivorous, vegan diet, veganism 21 LISA 1 KÜSITLUS 22 23 24 KASUTATUD KIRJANDUSE LOETELU Aavik, K., Ljokkoi, A

NAISTEMOOD MAAILMASÕDADE VAHEL

Hair was grown longer, they wore shoes with higher heels and their dresses were shorter. The progress ended with World War II, when materials had strict regulations and women had to do men's work again. Therefore, women dressed more practical, but still feminine. This exact period is under investigation because there were a lot of developments and changes. Women achieved a new position in the society. Therefore, they had more boldness to show themselves out. The more tolerant the society became, the bolder became women's fashion. 30 Lisad Lisa 1 Naistekleit enne Esimest maailmasõda (http://www.costumes.org/history/20thcent/1900s/boehn/modeart1 901a.jpg) 31 Lisa 2 Naistekleit Esimene maailmasõda (http://www.fashion-era.com/images/1914-1950/hobbmarb.jpg) Lisa 3 Naistekleit 1920-1929
