Your Name Dear Diary, The most amazing thing just happened to me. The Time Machine which I never thought will work, just brought me back from my travel to 1975. I've always imagined what the 70's would have looked like and I've even dreamed of living in that time. And now I finally got to see and feel it. I wasn't quite sure where would The Machine bring me, but luckily it worked perfectly and brought me into the New York City. I think that it somehow works on the power of mind and it gets you exactly where and when you want to be. On the first sight it all looked wonderful, the grass was greener and the air was more easier to breathe of course I was evolved into the famous Central Park. I didn't know where to go or what to do, so I whistled, like they do in the movies, and took a cab. I asked the driver just to drive me around the city and show m...

Wonders of the modern world I think that wonders of the modern world are scientific and technological achievements, not buildings anymore, like they were believed to be in the Ancient World. In my opinion the most important so called wonder of the modern world is Internet. It's just because it is so widely used in all over the world. It makes possible to do so many things, of what humankind half a century ago couldn't even dream of. It's only a matter of time, when there will be even more interactivity between the user and the website, like for example allowing us to give instructions to the website using speech. Second wonder in modern world would be space travel. Since Neil Armstrong stepped out of his space capsule onto the surface of the moon in 1969, there have been many space probes to several different planets and even to the sun. So far, there has not been found any intelligent life in...

The Universe, according to Douglas Adams The Universe is truly a magnificent phenomenon. It has remained unfathomable throughout history. Even in the Modern Era, where so much has already been achieved, we lack complete and certain answers to a plethora of questions about the Universe. Luckily, Douglas Adams already seems to have that covered in his book "Life, the Universe and Everything", which is the third installment in the series "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". Initially, Adams describes the idea of time travel. In real world physics, the concept has a very limited application. Yet according to him, most of the theory on time travel is incomprehensible to anyone who has not spent at least four lifetimes studying advanced hypermathematics, and since it was impossible to do this before time travel was invented, there is a certain amount of confusion as to how the idea was arrived at in the first place (11...

Consumer Behavior Assignment Assignment 1(4) Girli Vasiljev HAAGAHELIA University of Applied Sciences RB1X 12.12.2011 Consumer behavior Introduction Each and every one of us is a consumer. We buy products and services every day. But why do we prefer one product or service to another? What leads us to make the right decision before every purchase? There are many aspects influencing our decision making process and thereby our consumer behavior. Attitudes, perceptions, image, roles, motivations, determinants etc. encourage us to buy or not to buy a product or service. (Cooper & Gilbert, 2008, p. 43) There are many different definitions about consumer behavior. Emphasizing...
I Am an Animal Person In the world there are so many different people. Some people like and some do not like animals. But what makes an animal likeable and what is the reason why some people can not have an animal? Firstly, the biggest plus what animals can give is love. Every animal it does not matter how big or small he/she is, loves his/her host with all of his heart and he/she does not care how rich or famous you are. For example, puppies do so much trouble when they are young, but they show love every single day, sometimes they have to lick only your cheek to make you feel good. Secondly, one fateful thing about having an animal is that people do not have any time for them. Some people travel a lot and they can not afford to keep an animal. And even if you do not travel much and you want an animal, you have to have time for them. Lastly, some people are allergetic for animals hair, so th...
The most important technological invention In my mind, the most important technological invention is the jet airliner, the Boeing 707- 120, which was invented in 1958. I concidered different inventions but thought, that the ability to move from one point to another in an innoventional and extremely quick way is worth the title. The four engine plane can carry up to 181 passengers and cruise at 600 mph for 5280 miles on a full tank. This has made continetial travelling extremely comfortable, as voyages that formerly took a couple of weeks can now be passed with only 1 day or even less. The first jet flight took off from New York and landed in Paris, soon after that there was a connection between Los Angeles and New York. I can only assume that the tickets had to cost a fortune in the beginning, but the time spared was and is still worth it, as the plane tickets do not even cost so much nowadays, it is perhaps the cheapest and the fast...
Millions of people all over the world spend their holidays travelling. They travel to see other countries and continents, modern cities. They travel to enjoy picturesque places, to try different food People can travel on foot, by train, by plane, by sea, by ship and by car. All means of travel have their advantages and disadvantages. Of course, travelling by air is the fastest and the most convenient way, but it is the most expensive too. Travelling by train is slower than by plane, but it has its advantages. You can see much more interesting places of the country you are travelling through. Modern trains have very comfortable seats. There are also sleeping cars and dining cars which make even the longest journey enjoyable. Speed, comfort and safety are the main advantages of trains and planes. That is why I prefer travelling by train. Travelling by sea is popular mostly for pleasure trips. On board large ships and small river boats pe...
Television is a daily presence in the lives of most young children . TV is playing a very big role in their life. Television has its good side. It can be entertaining and educational, and can open up new worlds for kids, giving them a chance to travel the globe, learn about different cultures. However spending time watching TV can take time away from healthy activities like active play outside with friends, eating dinner together as a family, or reading. TV time also takes away from participating in sports, music or art.

Media analysis : Transamerica (2005) Transamerica is a 2005 independent dramedy produced by IFC Films and The Weinstein Company. The film tells the story of Bree, a transsexual woman (Felicity Huffman), who goes on a road trip with her long-lost son Toby (Kevin Zegers). The movie is marked by an Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe-winning performance by Huffman, who is also known for her performance in Desperate Housewives. The character's name is Bree - which turns out to be short for Sabrina. One day Bree receives a phone call from someone asking for Stanley - her old male name. It is from a New York police station, asking if Bree will stand bail for a young man called Toby (Kevin Zegers) - taken in for prostitution - who is a son she fathered by a one-night stand 17 years ago. Bree's therapist says the surgery consents cannot be signed until she gets "closure" on this, so Bree is forced to tr...
Would you rather go to a large or a small school. I prefer large school. In a large school there are many opportunities to learn. First I would say that the big school is located in city. This is important to me. When I live in city i have to choose many number of schools. I have to do much more than go home and school. I have more time and i can go in many hobby groups. Secondly I would say that I do not like that teachers have less time. Teachers have little time to deal with people individually. Preparation of teaching materials is more difficult to have many classes in school. Work hard to improve because teachers do not have much time. Thirdly I would say I do not like that there are few nature in a big school near. City people do not surrounded the clean nature. People living in polluted climates, where cars travel every day. People should move to the land where it is cleaner and more recent. In a large sch...

Every school child have allowence. Some children get allowence from parents, some children have to earn ourselves. Lots of children, whose parents do not give Money, have to go to work. If someone going to universty then he get a free place or he have to pay for it. But tuiton is very high, what its hard to pay at a time. In order to pay tiution, students should go to work while studying. Secondly the good thing is, if you work while studing, you always have a allowence. When class is going to travel, then you have the Money to pay for it. And you don't have to ask Money for your parents. Bad thing is that the work disturb studying. TRAVELLING not so easy as it seems to be "What if we go to..." or just "Hi! I'm back from Egypt!" these are some of the sentences which we all have heard from our friends. Of course we all want to travel and see the world but it might not be so easy as it seems to be. Travelling has its drawback too. You will get new experiences and see different places of the world but all of this has its negative side too. On the one hand you can familiarize yourself with different cultures, see interesting places and sights. Also you can just relax and enjoy yourself or just stop thinking about your problems. On the other hand travelling needs a lot of money and free time. Also you have to know anything about that country where are you going. You have to be sure about your safety too if anything should happen to you. You can never be sure that the plain you are flying with doesn't cause plain crash. And there could be more dangers like bi...
Mozart and his father Leopold Mozart Johann Georg Leopold Mozart Johann Georg Leopold Mozart was born on November 14, 1719 and died in May 28, 1787. He was a German composer, conductor, teacher, and violinist. Mozart is best known today as the father and teacher of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Mozart and his father Mozart was lucky to have a an experienced musician as a father. Leopold immediately recognised the potential in Wolfgang. He dedicated his life to supporting his son’s talent. Despite, or perhaps because, of their different characters, Wolfgang and Leopold Mozart were dependent on each other. For the remainder of his life, when Wolfgang had been working and living with his wife Constanze in Vienna for a considerable period of time, Leopold Mozart continued a dialogue with his son by writing letters. Moving to Vienna Wolfgang left home for good in 1781. The move almost certainly aided Wolfgang...

Choices after secondary school Many young people decide to go to university after secondary school, while others think that going to work is a better decision. But what are the advantages of both options? There are many advantages that should be pointed out. To begin with, when one is applying to university, there are some tests that should be taken. After just finishing the secondary school, brain is capable of managing the pressure of learning and it is much easier to take the test right away. In addition, if the person knows what she/he wants to study, it would be a good idea to look for the best university and start taking the first steps forward, closer to the dream job. Although, going to university is extremely essential, some people tend to go to work after graduating from high school. If the ''perfect career'' search has not given any results, it is better to go to work and give yourself a li...
The environment in realtion to mobility/transport in Europe Air pollution is problem all over the world. Through some pollution comes from these natural sources, most pollution is the result of human activity. The biggest causes are the operation of fossil fuel- burning power plants and automobiles that combust fuel. Combined, these two sources are responsible for about 90% of all air pollution in the United States. All kind of pollutions can lead us to serious health problems. For example, air pollution is increasingly being cited as the main cause of lung conditions such as asthma - twice as many people suffer from asthma today compared to 20 years ago. Every year, 3.2m Europeans are diagnosed with cancer - the most common cause of death after heart disease. Most widespread are cancers of the lungs, breast and colon. Diseases such as bronchitis, lung cancer and heart diseases may all eventually appear in people exposed to a...

Estonians: What we're really like In my opinion Estonians are quite serious, we work hard and we're well-educated. We love to travel and a lot of people have a job or go to school somewhere outside Estonia. Ernest Hemingway once said that at least one Estonian can be found in every part of the world. Many of us have emigrated to the US, Canada or Australia. Some of them came back after the restauration of the independence in 1991. Estonia is a quite young country with painful history but I think we've been strong and kept our heads up. We may have a little country but it doesn't mean that the people are small too. The Estonians are more self-confident than you can ever imagine. We have many talented people, especially athletes like Markko Märtin, Marko Asmer, Kaia Kanepi, Andrus Veerpalu and Mart Poom. We love sports and working out is a part of our lives, that's why you don't see almost any overweight ...

Eliise Mändla MT-13 The good and bad points of being rich and famous 1.11.2015 Almost everyone of us, at least once, dreamed a life of being rich and famous. But like many other things, as we are witnessing on almost daily basis, that kind of life brings both positive and negative sides. Firstly, celebrities have a lot of money , which they earn in a simple way. Also they don't have to worry about their future. They can do whatever they are pleased to. Travel wherever they want, live wherever, eat and buy whatever they want. Secondly, if you are young and your parents are rich you can start using the advantages of being rich already as a kid. For example you can go to a private school or even to a private kindergarten. On the other hand , their wealth and fame make their life stressful. Moreover , it makes people jealous and hateful. Such people find it difficult to make true friends and maintain re...
Jobs I like In the near future I want to find work as rapporteur, it is a good opportunity to earn extra money. At the moment I`d like to have time evening job, after school, of course. I want to open their own cafe, breaking through the corporate world must be educated. Primary school I wanted to become a singer, but I realized that I`m not suitable for this purpose. Stewardess, it seems an interesting profession, as it offers the opportunity to travel a lot. Is a small chance that I`m gonna craftsmen, because I love crochet. Or gonna fashion designer. Maybe I`m gonna teach literature. (Especially do not believe it.)

Space exploration should be a priority Since the beginning of time people have wondered about what's really hidden behind the clouds and what goes on there. Before people had the technology to study space, they tried to make sense of the universe with the help of religion. Luckily thanks to the great interest in the subject, the first manned spaceflight happened on April 12, 1961 by the Soviet Union, with cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin aboard. Travelling in space could become very important and useful for people on earth in case something happens to our planet. Many things could happen since humans are taking advantage of earth's natural resources like oil and building dangerous factories that produce toxic waste. With space travel we could find planets that have the material to replace our resources and maybe get rid of the toxic waste we no longer have room here. Besides that, a war could break out involving ...
The space age in the next 50 years The space age began about 50 years ago with the launch of sputnik, the first man-made object in space. Since then, spaceflight technologies have grown up. Within the 50 years we have achieved much in the spacelife, such as landing on the moon etc. Things what were impossible 50 years ago are nowdays reality. But what will happen in the next 50 years? In the first place people will be able to take trips into the space. And that`s predicted to be happening in short time through the Virgin Galactic, which plans to provide sub-orbital spaceflights to the paying public. Currently about several hundred people have already booked a seat on that plane, which costs $200 000 per person. What is more that by 50 years time I think that we will have found life on other planets. As there are proofs that there once were a water on Mars so it`s likely thath life has existed there. In the...
Dear Madam, I wish to rent a 3 bedroom apartment in Võru city. I would like apartment to be situated near the city centre, bigger stores, kindergarten and school. It needs to be with all the comforts and in new or renovated condition. Kitchen should be big and spacious plus bathroom and toilet needs to be separate. Apartments with balcony or terrace, large windows and separate rooms are more appealing for me. I prefer to rent for a longer period of time with reasonable price. Range should not be over 400 which includes public utility bills. It is important that apartment has full kitchen furniture, cellar and garage for car. Neighbourhood needs to be peaceful, with nice neighbours and good public transport access. Do you have a webpage, where I could see latest apartment ads with pictures and your other offers? Minu plaanid tulevikuks Nüüdseks olen juba kaheksa aastat käinud Maidla põhikoolis, üheksas aasta on hetkel käsil. Nende kaheksa aastaga on palju juhtunud, palju asju on selgemaks saanud. Viieteistkümne aastapärast on mul kolm imearmsat last. Põhitööna kirjutan ma "USA Today"-le, "The Wall Street Journal" ja "The New York Times"-ile.
What is the best age to be? The question we all may ask ourselves time and time again. What is the best age to be? In my opinion there is not a best age and because of that is a question that will always be left unanswered. The life span approach emphasizes developmental change is throughout adulthood as well as childhood. As a 18 year old female I cannot really choose a specific age group that would be best in the life in every aspect, because I have not yet reached certain age periods of my life span development. All ages have great and bad things. When you are a child your freedom is limited and it mostly depends on your parents´ mood at that time. Some examples like where you have to be home at 9.00pm and no TV until you´ve cleaned your room. Also then you have problems, but only the ones generated at school. Childhood has many responsibilities, some we like, some we have to do and some we despise. Responsibilities some of us en...

You are going to write your own magazine article on what your life will be like in ten years' time. 1.what are you doing now? 2.how do you see yourself changing in the next few years? 3.what will you be doind 4.what will you have done? 5.where will you be living 6.will you have got married? 7.will you have travelled a lot? Everybody has their dreams and ideas, how they want they're life to be. Right now I am a school student. I'm dancing, playing guitar and just hang out with my friends. I'm in the tenth grade of high-school, so I have only two years to decide what I want to do after graduating. But I think I don't really want to study anything more, I just want to see what the life has for me. The First three years would be the hardest. Maybe I'm going to change my mind, and go to university. But I've got a plan, and a good one. To just slowly start to open my own busyness. Nobody really believes in that, neither do I. Bu...
The Internet is making literature increasingly irrelevant in the modern world Stanislav Stõkov MASB11 When computers were not so spread as they are today, and the Internet had not appeared in the lives of people, we used to spend much more time reading. Literature and books were our best friends, and one of the most important ways on entertainment. Nowadays, if you ask a person, when he or she has read last a book and what the book's title was, the person will not know what to answer. Nobody reads any more, or if they do it is on the internet and only a summary so as not to get tired too much. The Internet entertains superficially, as people do not gain too much by ''surfing'' it. Yes, maybe a new pair of glasses for spending so much time in front of a computer. I do not say there are no educating websites that are worth visiting, that real...
