Entry ticket week 39 - Ave Nurmeots

Entry Ticket Week 39 – Ave Nurmeots (62-130) 1. Why is it important to move beyond product innovation?  To be able to compete within the today’s marketplace (continued success and differentiation).  It is not enough anymore just to come up with an innovative product or its features. To achieve a bigger and more sustainable competitive advantage different types of innovations should be combined together. 2. Name an example of a company from the book, which has gone beyond product innovation –explain which of the 9 other types they have used?  I really liked the example of Microsoft reinventing integrated office tools. When I think about it in today’s context, it seems very logical – a lot of companies do that. But that must have been an amazing innovation for that time. They used: o Profit model – instead of paying for the different applications separately, they...

Leicester Square

Leicester Square is now home to some of London's largest cinemas and is the venue for many premiers. There is a lovely garden in Leicester Square, where people can relax after a hard day's work in the city. In the middle of the garden is a beautiful statue of William Shakespeare. In 1981 a lifesize statue of Charlie Chaplin was added. You can buy halfprice theatre tickets at the building with a sign 'tkts'. 'tkts' is London's most famous and popular theatre ticket shop. Based in the Clocktower Building in Leicester Square, tkts is an essential part of a visit to London. Make sure you join the right queue as tickets for afternoon and evening shows are sold from different windows. Near the square you can also find the beautiful entrance to London's Chinatown.

actors. Maybe they would have saved the movies. Also the movies had lots of mistakes in them. For example the positions of furniture changed in several frames. The mistakes could have been avoided when you had edited the movie more carefully. The worst thing is that the story was very boring and had lots of plotholes in it. Next time you should write a better script like you did in "Scary Movie 3" I would therefore like you to pay back my cinema ticket money and apologise to all your fans. Yours sincerely, Märt Lõkov

Speed cameras are not a good way to make our roads safer. Do you agree with this statement?

camera. As our country is pretty small, almost everybody driving daily knows exactly where are these speeding cameras. That makes no sense because they slow down before the camera and after it they speed up. Secondly, people are afraid of tickets. They must check their speedometer before the speed camera to hold the speed around allowed level. That takes drivers attention from the road. It may cause severe accidents. Speed cameras have also good side. For example people who get a ticket must pay a fee for it and goverment earns money by this. This money can be spent for to repair or to rebuild the roads. In conclusion, I think that speed cameras are useless in Estonia. They harm more than they save.

My hobby

MY HOBBY My hobby is roller-skating. I roller-skate whenever I can cause roller-skating is my favorite hobby. This hobby got started when I was a little boy. I had always wanted my parents to teach me how to ride with roller-skates. Soon they got fed up and tired of my bagging to get some roller-skates. So they bought me a pair of roller-skates. So as soon as I could, I learned to roller-skate. I started with just standing still with them. Soon I could roller-skate across the street. Now I roller-skate just about everywhere where it's possible. The wonderful thing about roller-skating is that I do not have to buy a bus ticket. For example, I do not have to be in traffic congestion. Also I do not have to buy some lamellae tires to drive in winter because I can ride a bus in winter. I can ride in some indoor skating park at winter. Roller-skates provide the rider with so much information about balancing a...

genres were dance, rock and also pop. The percentages as seen from the table were 29%, 24% and 31%. We should take it into consideration that both surveyed groups wanted to listen to pop and rock music. Antoher thing that surprised our student committee was that classical music is not listened to among our students, which means we can exclude it and still get a lot of visitors. The best side about it is that we can earn more income from the ticket sales by making so. In conclusion, the survey clearly shows that we have to include rock and pop artists and maube dance music. This way highschool students can free their souls by dancing.

roads still maintain it in their names (e.g. Long Island Rail Road). Railway is mostly used for urban and interurban electric railways (e.g. San Francisco Municipal Railway). In British English, the preferred term is railway. In the early days of the railways, railroad (rail road or rail-road) was often used, until railway became preferred in 1850s. Other differences in terminology: In British English, single ticket is used instead of the American one-way ticket. In the American context, single would mean “only one”. Also, round trip ticket is used in the U.S., while return ticket in the UK. In American English, train schedule is referred to with the word schedule, while in British English timetable is employed instead. In British English schedule is a plan that lists all the work that you have to do and when you must do each thing, while timetable is a list showing the fixed times at which events will happen: a bus/train timetable. Teater NO99

For example one time in an old swimming pool and also in three abandoned airplane hangars. Their imagination has no boundaries. The theatre's artistic director is Tiit Ojasoo, and Ene-Liis Semper is the chief stage designer- director. The troupe consists of 10 actors, eight men and two women. The best known and also my favorites are Mirtel Pohla and Rasmus Kaljujärv. I haven't seen as much plays of theatre NO99 as I would like, because it's very hard to get a ticket in there and they play one spectacle very few times. If I had the chance I would go there much often, but as I play also in my own school drama group it doesn't leave much free time for any other theatre activities. The best play I have seen there is " Stalker". It made me feel like I was a part of the play not just someone from audience. Also the impression of effects was very real. I'm planning to visit NO99 again in January 20. when they are having one of their test "actions", called

An example letter

The Netherlands Estonia Dear Sir/Madam, 22 May 2013 I am writing to you in order to complain about the extraordinary opening hours of your National Museum of Physic Art. There were several aspects that I was sincerely dissatisfied with, and I hope that in the nearest future you will take steps to eliminate these faults. To begin with, I arrived at your museum at exactly 11.12, yet the ticket office was still closed even though according to the advertisement every door should have been opened by 11 o'clock. However, when I started to look for another gate or entrance, there were none at all. It seems that the front door of your museum is very difficult to find without a map. As for more, the staff working was extremely rude! I was trying to ask for my location and how to enter the museum but all I ever heard as a reply was insulting mumble and no clear sentences

The history of London

The history of London There were some people living on the banks of the Thames when the Romans came to England in 43 AD. The Romans built houses, a port and a bridge over the river and named the place Londinium. The bridge which was built by the Romans was later known as London Bridge and it was built in stone in 1176. It was London's only bridge until 1729. Now there are about twenty bridges crossing the river within London. London soon became the largest city in England and by the time of the Norman Conquest in 1066 it had become the most important city in Britain. It grew in area and population until September 1666, when the Great Fire destroyed four fifths of the wooden buildings in the City including ST Paul's Cathedral. The fire lasted for five days. By now London has swallowed up many of the small towns and villages that surrounded it. It is a city of seven million pepole covering 1,606 square mile...

Time travel

I didn't know where to go or what to do, so I whistled, like they do in the movies, and took a cab. I asked the driver just to drive me around the city and show me what's good around there. As we where driving through the Broadway street, I discovered from the posters hanging on the wall that my all time favourite soul artist Marvin Gaye was in the town. Luckily I had some money in my pocket to pay for the taxi ride, and even for the ticket to the concert. People on the street were very friendly and I smoothly melted into the crowd. I quickly got friends with some of the local street musicians. One of them was Denzel and he told me a story about how Marvin Gaye has inspired him and his music. When I told them that I'm a fan of his music too and I'm planning to go to his concert that night, they couldn't believe me and the fact that a white man listens to black music

Thinking Strategically

between two points. At first glance, Southwest's approach did not seem like a recipe for success. They did not cater flights, did not offer seat assignments, used less central airports, and focused only on point-to-point travel. But Southwest's strategy was not to imitate the big airlines; it was to create a new market – short-haul air transport. The airline specifically targeted price-sensitive customers, and kept ticket prices low by keeping costs low. Southwest's success comes from identifying its critical success factors (CSFs) and developing its business strategy around them. The company's CSFs include:  lowest fares in the marketplace  competition with bus and automobile transport, rather than other airlines  low overhead costs and a cost-conscious employee culture  low debt-to-equity ratio  lower wages offset by profit sharing plans

How to avoi road accidents

1. Slow down. Obey the speed limit even if every other car is surpassing it. Remember that police officers often stay hidden from view while looking for speeders. If you're caught driving too fast, they won't hesitate to give you a ticket. 2. 2 Let others pass you. Defensive driving means letting others go ahead-not defending your position in traffic. Avoid the urge to be a vigilante ("Oh yeah? Let me show you what it's like to be cut off like that!") Accept the fact that someone is always going to think they're in more of a hurry than you. These are the drivers you want to move far away from, not to 'teach them a lesson.' 3 3 Try to avoid driving in bad weather

Popkunsti tekkimine ja areng Inglismaal.

Inglise kunst. Popkunsti tekkimine Matti Luik 12A Popkunst Popkunst, lühend populaarsest kunstist (pop art, popular art). Briti ja Ameerika kunstitoodang aastatel 1955-1970. Stiil kujutab endast tarbimisühiskonna (stereotüübid, staarid, toidud jne.) lihtsat väljendust. Hõlpsasti äratuntav popkunst muudab isikliku eneseväljenduse minimaalseks, kaasab kunsti ümbruskonna ning hõlmab kujutava kunsti, muusika ja tantsu. Popkunst on tõeline ühiskondlik nähtus.

London - the capital of Great Britain

to little crowds about all sorts of political, social and other ideas. The Greenwich Park is also special, because it is surrounding the national sea museum. The Regents Park is known, because there is the London zoo. The London zoo, opened in 1828 as a scientific zoo, is the oldest one in the whole world. In 1848, it was opened for people. The London zoo covers 36 acres and there are about 5000 animals in the zoo. The zoo is open every day except Christmas Day. The ticket costs 14 pounds for and adult and 10.75 pounds for a child. St. James's park is famous for its water birds, for example ducks and pelicans. Buckingham palace is near St James's park. The building of the Buckingham palace started in 1703. It was built for the Duke of Buckingham. The house was later bought by King George III for himself and Queen Charlotte. In 1820, King George IV commissioned John Nash to build a State Palace, much of the structure and decoration of which is seen today

pakutavate teenuste tõttu. Arvutisüsteemid arvutavad samuti välja kui palju reisijaid tegelikult broneerijatest lendavad. See võimaldab lennufirmadele müüa lennule rohkem pileteid, kui sinna tegelikult inimesi mahuks. Madala nõudlusega lendudele pakutakse madalama hinnaga pileteid ning niiviisi optimeeritakse reise, et tulu oleks võimalikult suur. A complicating factor is that of origin-destination control ("O&D control"). Someone purchasing a ticket from Melbourne to Sydney (as an example) for $200 (AUD) is competing with someone else who wants to fly Melbourne to Los Angeles through Sydney on the same flight, and who is willing to pay $1400 (AUD). Should the airline prefer the $1400 passenger, or the $200 passenger plus a possible Sydney-Los Angeles passenger willing to pay $1300? Airlines have to make hundreds of thousands of similar pricing decisions daily. Jooksvad kulud

If I have time, I will help you. In the if-clause we use the Present Simple, in the main clause will + the verb. We can also use the Present Continuous or Perfect in the if-clause and a Modal Verb in the main clause. If we are having a party tomorrow, we shouldn’t go out tonight. If you have finished with the computer, you should turn it off. It can also be used in offers and suggestions, or warnings and threats. If you need a ticket, I can get you one. If you don’t study harder, you won’t pass the exam. The if-clause usually comes first, but it can come after the main clause. If I hear any news, I’ll phone you. / I’ll phone you if I hear any news. The Zero Conditional expresses conditions that are always true and have automatic or habitual results: If you heat ice, it melts. The Present Simple is used in both clauses. 2 B. Unreal Conditionals

Cinema is the most restricitve medium

viewer. This is a two way street – director and/or movie makers have to make the best decision to give the best viewing experience which would also make sense but the audience have to be educated enough to see the meaning behind the shots, the dialogue, imagery and put together bigger picture. Furthermore, not everyone will be able to go the cinema. The travel cost, if they live far from the cinema, ticket price, lack of cinemas overall etc will limit cinemas grasp on the society compared to books, which are relatively cost efficient, easy to distribute and mostly always available in the libraries. In my opinion, cinema is rather a medium of opportunities. Driving to the cinema, watching a movie is relatively easy, at least in Estonia. It requires only two hours of my day, few euros and all i have to do is sit and watch. I agree, technically and timewise, cinema is limited as
