Get a copy of Scholastic's Dictionary of Idioms by Marvin
Terban. It explains more than 600 phrases, sayings, and
expressions, the vast majority of which are in everyday usage:

Play some fun, interactive idiom games
Discuss cartoons about idioms or read & discuss some idiom-
filled books together
To distinguish different kinds of
idioms
We need to understand different types of idioms and they are categorized as either opaque or transparent.
