TMT0040 Ergonoomika Stretches and exercises in office Ruslan Karpovits 050829 IATM Breaks Why? We're not designed to stay in one position all day long. Taking regular breaks to stretch major muscle groups can help reduce injury, muscular tension and stiffness. When? At least once per hour, but more frequently if possible. If you are doing data entry, you should take a 5minute break for every 30 continuous data entry minutes spent on the computer. Benefits of stretching Stretching increases flexibility. Flexible muscles can improve your daily performance. Tasks such as lifting packages, bending to tie your shoes or hurrying to catch a bus
Then repeat the stretch on the other side. For most muscle groups, a single stretch is often enough if you hold it long enough. Don't bounce. Bouncing as you stretch can cause small tears in the muscle. These tears leave scar tissue as the muscle heals, which tightens the muscle even further -- making you less flexible and more prone to pain. 2 Focus on a pain-free stretch. Expect to feel tension while you're stretching. If it hurts, you've gone too far. Back off to the point where you don't feel any pain, then hold the stretch. Relax and breathe freely. Don't hold your breath while you're stretching. How often to stretch is up to you. As a general rule, stretch whenever you exercise. If you don't exercise regularly, you might want to stretch at least three times a week to maintain flexibility. If

Give them time to think. Tell them that they probably need time to consider the offer you have made. Use this when: You can see that they are not going to decide now. You have set up enough tension that you are reasonably convinced that they will indeed seriously consider the deal and are likely to come back. Given some more time, it is likely that they will buy more (for example if they are at the edge of a budgetary period and their current funds are low). The relationship is important to you, and them making a wrong decision now would affect the chances of making sales in the future.

most active in the middle of the night. Micah points the camera at their bed every night, recording the horrific activities around their sleeping forms. The bedroom door swings ominously open and closed and footsteps can be heard on the stairway. The films main focus relies heavily on sound and atmosphere. And a refreshing aspect lies in the minimal amount of special effects. As the camera begins to capture paranormal events, night after night, with increasing intensity, the tension is huge. Many of the scenes and camera angles are repeated since Micah places the camera in the same place each evening while the couple sleeps. Many of the shots are hard to see in the dark and often reaction shots are lost because the filmmakers were limited by one camera. However, this also lends to the realism. The film's intention is to scare you, and it succeeds largely because it looks and feels like stuff you find on YouTube, making the terror uncomfortably real.

Those who practice music therapy are finding a benefit in using music to help cancer patients, children with ADD, and others, and even hospitals are beginning to use music and music therapy to help with pain management, to help ward off depression, to promote movement, to calm patients, to ease muscle tension, and for many other benefits that music and music therapy can bring With all these benefits that music can carry, it's no surprise that music therapy is growing in popularity.
theorists who critize each other. In my opinion, none of the theories are completely wrong but I do tend to agree with people on the conflict theory side. Firstly, functionalism ignores inequality and focuses too much on the positive functions in society. For example racism, functionalists will say that it must be imporant in order to exist as long as it has but in my opinion that sounds quite doubtful. The most problematic part about racism is above all the tension and conflict which comes with it. Seems to me, that functionalists ignore the negative sides which society has on people. Secondly, I agree that society will always be in conflict because of fighting for limited resources and their rights. I think it is in our human nature to get the best for oneself and therefore in many areas, competition is inevitable. Functionalists act like all parts in society are equal and there is little

If you have trouble holding your breath, speed the exercise up but keep to the ratio of 4:7:8 for the three phases. With practice you can slow it all down and get used to inhaling and exhaling more and more deeply. Once you develop this technique by practicing it every day, it will be a very useful tool that you will always have with you. Use it whenever anything upsetting happens - before you react. Use it whenever you are aware of internal tension. Use it to help you fall asleep. Exercise 3: Breath Counting If you want to get a feel for this challenging work, try your hand at breath counting, a deceptively (petlik) simple technique much used in Zen practice. Sit in a comfortable position with the spine straight and head inclined (painutatud) slightly forward. Gently close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Then let the breath come naturally without trying to influence it

in Master of Puppets as well. But what really elevated Metallica in my eyes was the album And Justice for All (AJFA), it showed more of their technical side with well thought out phrasing and intricate guitar work, one Song in particular “To live is to Die” is what I consider their best instrumental and Metallica at its peak. One other thing that people don't seem to credit Metallica with is their lyrics. Their lyrical department has always been strong whether it's related to political tension, self-loathing, or social evils.Onto the concert review, I find their music very dense and satisfying. There are so many things happening, and all of them are very sweet and coherent. I think the key is that each of the band members put a significant amount of creative effort into each of their songs. Nothing is random or lazy- there’s a thought behind every little sound and nuance. That’s why they are so good for second, third, fourth listen
lock out“8 which intensifies the joints’ capability to hyperextend. The reverse is correct as well: the more flexible one is, the less bulking muscle one has. The existing muscles are fragile and extra vulnerable to muscle tear because they are often stretched to be intensely lean. The elasticity of the body consists of three types: passive, active and dynamic flexibility. Passive flexibility is the ability to stretch while aided by one’s own body or partner. Muscles do not get extra tension while working out and the amount of work lies within the amount that muscles involved can elongate. While one is bending actively, one does it unaided. Active flexibility is performed as stretching unaided and trying to exceed the height set as target. 9 Active flexing requires using muscle spindles10 and therefore excludes the injurious consequences force can cause. 11 Dynamic flexing – also known as mobile stretching – represents active, aided stretching while moving

We all need to use and support public transit, because if these systems are used adequately they are more energy efficient than cars, and they help reduce wasteful traffic congestion. If we increase their use,

If it's a woman she'll probably be hugging her handbag, or clutching a hanky. Body tension spreads to the respiratory system, forcing your breathing and making you sound short of breath. When you are in such a position it is easy to lose your head and simply run away if things take a turn for the worse. On television it's interesting to watch contestants in quiz shows like 'Who wants to be a millionaire'. You can detect their understandable tension from the way they hold their hands till their knuckles turn white and also from observing their quickened breathing.
Narrative is as important part of macro features as genre. The film, as a whole, has a linear structure, the events happen one after another as they occur. In the closing scene, as I mentioned before, is used a lot of flash-backs, which change the scene non-linear. The flash-backs help the audience to draw connections bethween previous sequences, also to find the conclusion to the story. As a narrative device, there is used dramatic tension as the plot progresses. It is really clear in the last scene, when Madeline's strange mother is telling the whole story, which the audience never would be thought about. The tension rises, when Bucky threathens to kill Madeline. There is a question, will he shoot the woman? Can Madeline manipulate Bucky? The analysed sequence shows that the genre codes, conventions and narrative devices in it are unique and recognisable for Film Noir. Changes take place in films,
"It is difficult to know if they became healthier as a result of acquiring their pet, but they certainly perceived themselves to be so,” the researcher said. There is no real explanation however, for why animals can change people in various ways. Elizabeth Ormerod, who is spearheading a campaign to introduce pets into a Scottish prison, has watched the effect of animals on prisoners. "Animals help to dispel tension,” she says. The Scottish prisons that have some involvement with animals report fewer disturbances as well as better relationships between staff and prisoners. "Caring for a pet encourages compassion and reverence for life," says Ormerod. "You could call it humane education.”

Old Mr. Dashwood's estate. The opening discussion of money and marriage immediately establishes the important role that ordinary economic concerns will play in Austen's novel. Unlike the authors of Gothic and sentimental novels fashionable in her day, Austen refuses to romanticize; she recognizes that material realities constrain love and marriage. Nonetheless, she allows some of this sentimentality to seep into the novel, and the tension between reasonable economic concerns and overly romantic dreaming will constitute an important theme in the novel. Indeed, this tension is already apparent in the characters of Elinor and Marianne, between the older sister's "sense" and the younger sister's "sensibility," the duality which the novel's title refers to. Elinor, age nineteen, is described as having a "strength of understanding" and "coolness of judgment", as well as the ability to govern and control her feelings. She

certain risks involved with prolonged computer use. With the increasing use of computers, computer related vision problems are affecting a growing number of individuals. Visual symptoms include: eyestrain, blurred or double vision, headaches, red or irritated eyes, and color perception changes. But there are even more side-effects on using computers. When sitting on the same position constantly, we may experience neck or shoulder tension, general fatigue, or pain in the back, arms, wrists or shoulders. Using computers daily and more than few hours a day is risky and may affect our health. That is why we should always have pauses using computers and enjoy more outdoor activities. She has said: "A great writer needs a certain personality and a natural talent for language, but there is a great deal that can be taught how to put words together quickly and efficiently to make a point, how to be graceful and eloquent, how to convey emotion, how to build up tension, and how to create alternative worlds." § During her marriage to Ron Weldon, the couple visited therapists regularly. A doll house is a visually appealing home for an equally perfect doll to live in. In Ibsen's "A Doll House" the values of society were related only to the visual appearance of one's home and family. Social acceptance dictated Torvald and Nora's lives, including their relationship. Torvald can be assumed as not only the owner of this "doll house" but of Nora, his "doll", as well. Their marriage had the constant pressures of the image of perfection, and it is this tension that corrupts their relationship. It also forces Nora to realize the self-centered nature of her husband. Nora ultimately changes her resemblance of Torvald's "doll" and becomes an independent and confrontational woman, creating a great contrast with the title of this play. The standards on social acceptance in 1879 were harsh, and Torvald let it consume every every aspect of his life. His dependence on perfection harmed his

tradition of virtuosic, improvisatory preludes, already showed tight motivic control (in which a single, short music idea is explored cogently throughout a movement). Strong family connections and a musically enthusiastic employer failed to prevent tension between the young organist and the authorities after several years in the post. characteristics of water waves. Wave formation There are three different momentum responsible for the formation of waves. The moon, earthquakes and wind in variable intensities. Energy of waves vs. period and responsible momentum 2 Three forces to attack the waves There are three forces that are responsible for wave formation. Two of them (gravitational force and Coriolis force) are supporting the formation, one of them (surface tension) reduces the high of waves. At first the gravitational force: This one out of four forces in physics is dominant for wave generation. The gravitational force drives the water from the crest of a wave to wave through. Because of this the potential energy of the elevated water masses is converted into kinetic energy of the waves. The coriolis force is a minor one. This force force is caused by the rotation of the earth. Waves which are caused by this force are very long

FORTIS CONSONANTS A fortis consonant is a “strong” consonant produced by increased tension in the vocal apparatus. These strong consonants tend to be long, voiceless, aspirated, and high. With fortis consonants, following thumb rules stay true: articulation with more muscular effort and greater breath force, voiceless in all positions, fortis plosives are aspirated in syllable-initial position, vowels are shortened before a fortis consonant. Example: voiceless [bb ] is "lenis", whereas [p] is "fortis". Lenis plosives have less intraoral pressure than fortis ones
Economic effects Acid rain causes more acidic water, which might kill the fishes. This would effect the fisherman, who would not get enough money, therefore less money would be spend and economy would be affected. Acid rain= damaged buildings=claims on insurance = less money for insurance company and there for effecting the economy. Political effects Acid rain can cause political tension between countries, good example is Canada and Usa. The waves form a frame through which we see the mountain. The gigantic wave is a yin yang of empty space beneath the mountain. The inevitable breaking that we await creates a tension in the picture. In the background, a small wave forming a miniature Fuji is reflected by the distant mountain, itself shrunk in perspective. The little wave is larger than the mountain. The small fishermen cling to thin fishing boats, slide on a sea-mount looking to dodge the wave. The violent Yang of nature is overcome by the yin of the confidence of these experienced fishermen. Strangely, despite a storm, the sun shines high.[23]
Beowulf describes Saxon society. Beowulf was re-discovered in 19th century, when the interest in the poem was primarily historical. In 1936, Oxford scholar J.R.R.Tolkien discovered the literaturistic side of the epic. Beowulf has influenced Tolkien and all the other writers after him. The epic has 3 parts, each focusing on Beowulf's fight with a particular monster. The mains ideas of the epic is: 1) The importance of establishing identity 2) Tension between the heroic code and other value systems 3) Christian elements 4) The difference between a good warrior and a good king 5) Monsters 6) Oral traditions 7) The mead hall and the banquet Beowulf manifests the importance of patriarchal history. north. A famous Viking explorer built a settlement there, but it was abandoned. The first settlements that stayed were greatly helped by the fact that there was an abundance of fish stocks in the Atlantic Region. The British and French both sent explorers to those areas, and both countries were interested in creating settlements there. France and Britain, however, didn't have good relations. They fought over colonies and fur trade. Their different religions also caused tension. In 1756, a 7-year war broke out between the two countries. The British were victorious, and renamed the French-speaking region in their territory Quebec. The French influence continues to be felt in Canada. The French there were allowed to keep their religion, law system and language. Quebec was then divided into the English and French-speaking colony. Eventually, those colonies became the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. Today, more than five million French-speaking

The two main camera shots used to display this is the bird's eye view and the mid shot. One way cinematography added impact was when the director uses the mid shot when the host and Jamal face each other. This shot brings a lot of tension because it has them both facing each other and it looks like a standoff because there are two computer panels in between both of them, making it look like they are facing each other in a game of tennis with the net separating the two opponents. This shot also shows that from a spectator view that they are ready to perform. Another show they use to add impact is the bird's eye view shot. They use this particular shot when Jamal and the show host were still facing off

Scholars of comparative law often overlooked family law as an important and distinctive site for the contestation of norms and values, perhaps because they viewed family law as too political for the technical inquiry carried out by comparativists. Other scholars characterized the family as a unique place, the opposite of the market, where traditional rather than modern discourses are at play and where moral and religious values, often in tension with secular visions, shape legal institutions. Family law scholars tended to focus on single legal regimes, rarely opening their inquiry to comparative methods. 3.Actors in CL The modern founding figure of comparative and anthropological jurisprudence was Sir Henry Maine, a British jurist and legal historian. In his 1861 work Ancient Law: Its Connection with the Early History of Society, and Its Relation to Modern Ideas, he set out his views on the development

given, it brings to mind a sunny and warm summer-day, when everything is just perfect. The point on the first stanza is only to set the tone, it has no real artistic value. The second stanza states that there was no sign of the Inchcape Rock, which lay below the water surface. The water gave no sign of that deadly rock and the low, calm waves did not move, or sound the Inchcape Bell - the warning bell, put there to alert the sailors of a nearby peril. Southey creates tension by describing the location of the bell "Without either sign or sound of their shock / The waves flow'd over the Inchcape Rock;" - the ships are left clueless about the Rock that awaits, to tear them apart, under the clam surface. The mood immediately changes with this stanza. The word "shock" has an ominous under-tone, which gives the reader a hint of the future horrors, which are going to happen near the rock.
declined to give a last name. ("My family has no idea where I am -- or if I'm even alive -- and I'd like to keep it that way," she said.) They were passing the phone around the afternoon before the G20 meeting in Pittsburgh, where a few of them were planning a trip, intending to protest, Ms. Markle said. Ms. Feigelson explained that they were being "super-selective," because an activist house, which is what she hopes theirs will be, she said, "can create tension." But were their hopes too high? Their criteria too stringent? Helen Fisher, a biological anthropologist at Rutgers University and a relationship expert (she is the scientific adviser to Chemistry.com, a spinoff of the dating site Match.com), took a gander at a few of the ads, including the ones written by Ms. Berger and Ms. Hazard and the gang in Philadelphia. The idealized, small-scale communities they described reminded her of the hunting and gathering bands of pre-history
ohutu ja mugava asendi tagamiseks. Prototüüpide katsetamisel maanteel kasutavad elus inimesed turvavöösid ning koostavad aruande nende sobivuse ja mugavuse kohta. Sõitjate jaoks on ette nähtud reguleeritavad õlakinnitid, et muuta vöö kõrgust mugavuse ja ohutuse parandamiseks. Olenevalt istmete konfiguratsioonist on enamikul Toyota autodest isegi 3-punktilised turvavööd keskmisel tagaistmel istuva sõitja jaoks. ELR-retraktor (Tension-Reducing Emergency Locking Retractor, pinget vähendav inertstõkestiga rull) lukustub automaatselt, kui sõitja tõmbab rihma veendumaks, et see on töökorras, kuid piisavalt lõtv mugavaks istumiseks. Enamikul Toyota autodel on turvavöö eelpingestid ja jõupiirikud esiistmetel sõitjate jaoks, mis tõmbavad otsekokkupõrke korral turvavöö kiiresti tagasi ning kinnitavad sõitja sobiva jõuga. Toyota on aastast 2003 paigaldanud
