Acverbs and adverbial phrases

We arrived at the airport early. It is usually possible to put the adverb of time at the beginning of the sentence: On Monday I’m going to Paris. Every morning Tom walks to work. Some adverbs, such as Adverbs of Frequency and Degree (always/also/probably) go with the verb in the middle of a sentence: Tom always goes to work by train. We were feeling very tired and we were also hungry. Your car has probably been stolen. a) If the verb is one word (goes/fell/cooked), the adverb usually goes before the verb: adverb verb Tom always goes to work by train. b) but after the verb ‘be’ (am/is/are/was/were): We were feeling very tired and we were also hungry. c) if the verb is two or more words (can remember/doesn’t smoke/has been stolen etc.), the adverb goes after the first verb (can/doesn’t/has etc.):

Internet piracy

argued by advocates and opponents alike. Advocates of file sharing also support the notion that internet piracy has no economic impact and if it does, the impact is insignificant and can be easily defended. File sharers rationalize their actions based on the argument that they "would not have purchased the content anyway." In addition, it is argued that freely obtaining a digital copy of something does not have any impact because a tangible, physical item is not being stolen. Thus, it is a seemingly victimless crime. Last, file sharers argue that the content that they are freely stealing is not worth the price. Perhaps they consider a certain piece of software, for example, to be poorly written. Supporters profess that software companies should be penalized for distributing low quality software with what they consider high price tags. Another closely related line of reasoning is the idea that they

E-book – the book of the future

last. Bits become degraded over time. Documents may get lost in cyberspace... Due to faults in hardware or software, e-book readers may malfunction and data loss can occur. As with any piece of technology, the reader must be protected from the elements (such as extreme cold, heat, water, etc.). Because of the high-tech appeal of the e-reader, e-books are a greater target for theft than an individual print book. Along with the theft of the physical device, any e-books it contains also become stolen. If a e-book is stolen, accidentally lost, or deleted, in the absence of a backup it may have to be repurchased. Environmental Concerns - E-book readers require various toxic substances, the disposal of their batteries in particular raises environmental concerns. Certainly it will take time to get used to new things, but as for me, I believe that most of the disadvantages of e-books will be overcome and step by step they will replace the conventional books

or other communication channels.[8] What are the consequences for the victims of identity theft? Although none of the victim's personal possessions may have been taken, there can actually be a number of large and serious consequences for victims. Most identity thefts are performed for monetary purposes, but there can also be danger for the victim's freedom or even life. The internet if full of stories about stolen credit card details, that have been used to order things online, buy gift cards and pretty much everything else imaginable. The more serious cases talk about criminal identity theft, identity cloning and medical identity theft where people have been framed for crimes they did not commit(from speeding tickets and drug posession to funding terrorism), where people have lost their jobs due to not being able to prove their innocence or

For & against about credit cards.

Using credit cards Credit cards have been very popular for two decades already. There are many ways to pay for your shoppings and not to worry about how much money you really have. First of all, credit cards are an amazing invention because it makes our everyday-lives so much easier. We do not have to carry cash with us, we can pay by a credit card. Alice makes a comment about the thief followed by a comment about the activity in Seattle. Hearing the two placed together like that makes something click in Bella's brain. She realizes that the two situations the thief in her room and the newborn vampires in Seattle are related. She also figures out that the thief only broke into her house as a test to see how easy it was to get in and that he only stole things with her scent on them so that others could find her. According to NASA, the value of the documents stolen by James was estimated at around $1.7 million. Police warn of 'lethal' fake beauty products on sale

poisonous chemicals including cyanide and even human urine, according to investigators. Fake cosmetics such as eyeliner, mascara, lip gloss and foundation have been found to contain toxic levels of chemicals and harmful substances such as arsenic, mercury and lead. The unwanted elements can lead to swelling, rashes and in the most serious cases, lethal poisoning. Consumers using websites to buy fake goods have also been warned that they are at risk of having their identities stolen. Detective Superintendent Maria Woodall said: ''Many people don't know about the real dangers counterfeit beauty products pose to their health. Criminals are exploiting every opportunity to fool customers into buying counterfeits in order for them to make some quick cash - putting peoples' health, homes and lives at risk. Casks of tea were brought up from the hold to the deck. The casks were opened and the tea dumped overboard The work was quick, thorough, and efficient. By dawn, over 342 casks or 45 tons of tea had been consigned to waters of Boston harbor. Nothing else had been damaged or stolen. Tea washed up on the shores around Boston for weeks. along) you kind of wish it hadn't tried in the first place. Unless your last name is Harryhausen, you shouldn't really maneuver Greek mythology, and you definitely don't need to use it as a source from some Shrek-inspired collection of tired pop culture riffs. Yet that's exactly what this Chris Columbus helmed half-success does. We begin by learning that the fabled gods of old do exist, and that Zeus is especially mad at brother Poseidon. Seems the head hocho's magical lightning bolt has been stolen, and each accuses the other of using the crime as a means of starting an all out Olympian war. Zeus specifically blames Poseidon's son, Percy Jackson, and soon, all the various creatures of myth - harpies, centaurs, minotaurs, and hydras -- are after the unsuspecting teen. When he learns of his lineage from his mother Sally, Percy teams up with half-man, half goat protector Grover, the battle skilled daughter of Athena, Annabeth and mentor Chiron to take on
