We stew fish, meat, vegetables or fruit. We roast meat or chicken. We put salt, sugar, pepper, vinegar and mustard into our food to make it salted, sweet, sour or simply tasty. Our food may taste good or bad or it may be tasteless. The usual meals in England are breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner or, in simpler houses, breakfast, dinner, tea and supper. For breakfast English people mostly have porridge or cornflakes with milk or cream and sugar,

Irish National Costums

Fresh dairy products, breads, and seafood are also widely available. Potatoes, once eaten at every meal, are still regularly served, but the Irish have embraced other foods such as pasta and rice. Apples, oranges, and pears have long been integral to the Irish diet, but are now joined by a wider variety of fruit that have become available since Ireland joined the European Union (EU). Smoked salmon is considered an Irish specialty, as are Irish stew and Irish lamb. Irish breads include soda bread and brack, a rich, dark loaf containing dried fruit and traditionally served at Halloween. Tea and coffee are popular drinks in the home, and Dublin is rapidly developing a café culture. Ireland is also the home of stout, a rich, black beer brewed by Guinness and Murphy's. The traditional cooked breakfast consists of any or all of the following: bacon, sausages, grilled or fried tomatoes, mushrooms, eggs, white and black pudding (a form of blood

really wish I knew it better. I can speak some, but not read much. As soon as the characters stop talking to each other, I'm stuck and can barely understand anything. Most of my Russian skills my ten years younger mates envy come from my year of living in Narva (literally starve or learn!) and talking to a variety of Estonian-Russian roleplayers I know. (But since they are also fluent in English and most in Estonian as well, it turns into a stew of languages very soon.) Chronologically the second language I started to learn was French. That was because of the Descartes Lyceum. Don't remember much of that, except for half a dozen badly spelt childrens' songs. Alouette is a really cruel song about tearing different body parts off a lark just to teach kids the names of those parts (and they are not even lark but human parts). I remember one of our young teachers used to play guitar in class and sing for us. That was really cool

then the farmers all over Estonia lived in farmhouses that included a barn so that people and animals lived under one roof. The old farmhouses and mansions can still be seen in many places in Southern Viljandimaa. As a result of the hard work and the tenacity of the local inhabitants, Mulgimaa developed into an area known as prosperous and rich by its cultural heritage. The masters working in the villages played an important role in the development. The local foods such as sauerkraut stew, curd cake and ,,kama" (a meal made with sour milk and a mixture of ground grains) are popular even nowadays. There is even a song that says: "It is good to live in Mulgimaa / The nature is beautiful and the land is fructuous/ There are glorious groves and large wealthy Estonian farms". As for now, the large-scale industry has become more and more dominating in agriculture. After thorough reforms in Estonian economy the people living in villages and small towns are
