Then it's like night in Estonia. What I like in Thailand is the food, my favorite thing to eat is the chicken-noodle soup. Compared to Estonia, Thailand has great rice- it's so good that you can just eat the rice without anything else. Eesti sõjajärgses kunstis võib eristada kahte avangardilainet. Esimene neist tõi 1950. aastate lõpul abstraktse kunsti ja seda lainet kandsid peamiselt kaks põlvkonda: ühelt poolt need kunstnikud, kes olid saanud oma koolituse ennesõjaaegses vabas Eestis, teiselt poolt need, kes alles õppisid kunstiinstituudis. Viimane seltskond on läinud meie kunstiajalukku rühmituse ANK' 64 nime all. Järgmine laine, mis koondus rühmitusse SOUP' 69, tõi meie kunsti sellised nähtused nagu popkunst, kontseptualism, land-art ja happening. Mõistagi polnud tegu ametlikult soositud kunstiga ja enamik noorte aktsioonidest toimus mingites kõrvalistes kohtades. Ometi prooviti omal nahal läbi see, mida tehti Läänes.
