Current whaling nations are Norway, Iceland and Japan and the aboriginal communities of Siberia, Alaska and northern Canada. In the 1900's , over 2 million whales were slaughtered. Many environmental organisations are working hard now to preserve and propagate the valuable whales we have remaining in waters all over the world.
