About England

England The United Kingdom is very small compared with many other countries in the world. However there are only nine other countries with more people, and London is the world's seventh biggest city. When you travel about the country you can see how the scenery changes right in front of your eyes. Highlands turn into lowlands; forests and hills turn into meadows and plains very quickly. It's hard to believe, but in Great Britain one you can find practically any type of scenery. Britain is unusually beautiful country! England can be divided for four parts: the Southeast, the Southwest, East Anglia, the Midlands and the North of England. The Southeast is a highly populated region of England

Chinatown review

abc.net.au/atthemovies/txt/s3163482.htm (28.04.2013) 4 Johnson, B. Chinatown: The Craft of Creating a Vivid, Compelling Mystery http://www.storyispromise.com/wchina1.htm (28.04.2013) right thing, cared for females and there were no words needed, you could read his emotions or thoughts from his eyes. Mulwrays wife, played by Faye Dunaway, was always calm, amazingly beautiful, but always seemed to be concerned about something. This may betrayed her part in the murder. The movie with it's perfect scenery, suits, dresses, cars and human relations is totally worth 130 minutes of tense watching.5 Chinatown is very catchy, full of differenct human relations and the difference from other movies, which include investigation, is that even when you can't understand the plot, it is still a movie just to enjoy for it's gorgeous cast and scenery. 5 Ebert, R. Also there are mentioned three sisters that are servants of Dracula and gypsies, who are protecting Dracula while he travels. The story begins with the entry of Jonathan Harker, who is driving to Transylvania to meet Count Dracula in his castle. He describes his ride and the scenery of Romania. Though finding his journey to the castle creepy, he finally meets Dracula, who seems to be very well- mannered yet awkward. He thinks Dracula is odd-looking and they never meet in daylight, also he does not seem to be eating anything. Later he finds himself as prisoner of Count but manages to escape. Next entry is by Mina, who is very worried about Jonathan and her letters to her beloved friend Lucy. Somehow she recieves a letter from Jonathan’s friend who says Jonathan is in

Empty Beach - Mati Unt

Empty beach. Mati Unt I read a book called ,,Tühirand" (,,Empty beach"). The book is written by Mati Unt. The action takes place in 1972. The main characters are Mati, his wife Helina and Helina's lover Eduard, who is a violinist. The main character is in the situation where he has to spend a weekend with his wife Helina and her lover Eduard. The trio goes to Eduard's summer house, surrounded by the majestic scenery of big forests and an empty beach. The weekend is full of accusations, desperations, self-pity and loneliness. Mati has decided to win back his wife but if he wins his wife back or not becomes clear at the end of the book. This book is actually compulsurary for the 12th grade in our school. Asi t is an interesting book, I would rather recommend it to girls from the age 17 than to boys, because it is quite romantic. What

Making a film

involve hundreds of people. Low-budget films are shot on limited budget, beacause young or unknown dircetors suffer from lack of funding from studios. Several organizations like The British Film Institute fund short films shot by first-time directors. Also The BBC, Channel 4 and National Lottery spend large amounts on film-making. After getting the money, the film-maker must think through every last detail. The scenery has to be built, technicians have to be hired and actors must be found for their roles. To make a movie, there's a lot of things to keep attention of, like camera movements, story line, characters and more..like actors looking and so on.. Without the unseen experts, film could not reach the screen.

Proposal report

The shopping center should most importantly contain a big grocery store where people could buy their everyday food and drinks. Clothing stores would also be very useful as there are not many around this town. Lastly, we would propose electronics and free time stores and sporting goods stores for people to purchase various goods that suit their hobbies. Our objections to the center Our only objections to the shopping center are that since malls take away a lot of space, it will ruin the beautiful scenery outside the city. Also, more cars would be constantly driving down the road which would then increase the noise pollution. Conclusion Overall, the residents' committee agrees that the shopping center being built is a good idea and will help this town greatly in terms of giving people a bigger freedom of choice in where to shop.

to teach drawing. At the end of his life he was no longer able to carry on his work due to serious lung disease. He also destroyed one part of his invaluable works during hysteric attacks. He died at the age of forty-six in Tartu neural clinic. At the time "Valgjärv" (1916-1917) was painted, the artist painted mostly in South Estonia and in connection with that there occurred a change in his choice of motifs. The former intimate views of a small part of the scenery were replaced by wide panoramas with lakes on the background of distant hills. The "Valgjärv", in which the ultramarine woods and blue lakes from a striking contrast to the reddish hills beaming the heat of summer sun, is one of the most beautiful pictures of that kind landscape. The artist's glance rises from the surface of the earth towards the sky, discerning there, as often as not, another landscape formed of white clouds.

arranged her betrothal, even though she was searching for true love and her heart belonged to William Shakespeare. Everything was exactly in balance, all of the actors played their roles well, they fit into their roles perfectly and I doubt there are many actors who could have done better job. The plot was built up well, it was so interesting and it just kept you stuck in the movie without even letting you loose for a minute. Scenery, clothing and all that background activity suited perfectly for the 16'th century when it all took place. And definitely have to mention the witty humor , for example when Will was fighting with Lord Wessex in theatre and he fell down from stage in a real funny way hitting his head on stage. I would definitely suggest watching this movie, because I personally must say that I absolutely loved every minute of it.

Arvustus "The Queen"

All the people in England were in shock and in tears. The country was in deep grief. Since Diana was divorced from her husband Charles, she was no longer a part of the Royal Family. At first, Elizabeth insisted that the funeral must be private. Eventually she changed her mind and she agreed to bring Diana´s body back to England. In London, flowers were piled in front of Buckingham Palace. There was a sea of flower and wreaths. What I liked about the film was that the scenery was based on real-life. One of the most memorable scene was when the Queen Elizabeth talked about Diana in television. At that moment I held my breath because I was really thrilled about how she could handle this. When Elizabeth talked about Diana there were tears in her eyes. That showed that we are all only humans and we all have feelings- including the Queen. For me the first part of the film wasn´t interesting but despite that I liked the ending. Also I liked the atmosphere in UK when

The main character of the story is Oliver. The story starts with Oliver’s mother giving birth to Oliver and she herself dies after giving birth. No one knew who was Oliver’s father, so he grew up in a workhouse. In 8 years, he was moved to a different workhouse, because he was too old to keep living in the same one he lived in before. GLOBAL WARMING Global warming is the observed century-scale rise in the average temperature of Earth's climate system. Since 1971, 90% of the increased energy has been stored in the oceans, mostly in the 0 to 700m region. Despite the oceans' dominant role in energy storage, the term "global warming" is also used to refer to increases in average temperature of the air and sea at Earth's surface. Since the early 20th century, the global air and sea surface temperature has increased about 0.8 °C (1.4 °F), with about two-thirds of the increase occurring since 1980.Each of the last three decades has been successively warmer at the Earth's surface than any preceding decade since 1850. More than 90% certain that most of global warming was being caused by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases produced by human activities. In 2010 that finding was recognized by the national science academies of all majo...

Arizona

Plateau. The Grand Canyon is a colorful, steep-sided gorge, carved by the Colorado River, in northern Arizona. The canyon is one of the seven natural wonders of the world and is largely contained in the Grand Canyon National Park--one of the first national parks in the United States. President Theodore Roosevelt was a major proponent of designating the Grand Canyon area as a National Park, visiting on numerous occasions to hunt mountain lion and enjoy the scenery. The canyon was created by the Colorado River cutting a channel over millions of years, and is about 277 miles (446 km) long, ranges in width from 4 to 18 miles (6 to 29 km) and attains a depth of more than 1 mile (1.6 km). Nearly two billion years of the Earth's history have been exposed as the Colorado River and its tributaries cut through layer after layer of sediment as the Colorado Plateau uplifted.

The art of dance

"A dance" is any one prescribed sequence of such movements, or the music to which it is performed, or an event at which it takes place. It can be categorized and described in various ways. Still there’s many generic similarities in dances from many different times and places. Theatrical dance, also called performance or concert dance, is intended primarily as a spectacle, usually a performance upon a stage by virtuoso dancers. It often tells a story, perhaps using mime, costume and scenery, or else it may simply interpret the musical accompaniment. Examples are western ballet and modern dance, Classical Indian dance and Chinese and Japanese song and dance dramas. [3] Dancing has been one of the most popular way to have a good time and to entertain someone. It’s a cultural representation, which involves dancers, choreographers, audience, patrons and impresarios. Dance traditions may be limited to one culture, but they all develope.

The renaissance period in England. Art and literature, development of drama. Dynasties, kings and queens.
