Tellijaks oli Las Vegas Sands; ei ole kellegile pühendatud. Selle hoonega taheti tõsta Singapuri majanduskasvu ja meelitada juurde turiste. 4. ja 5. Hoone asub 15,5 hektari suurel maa-alal. Marina Bay Sands on üks kõige keerulisem ehitusprojekt ja üks kõige kallimatest.
