The majority of young people like to spend their holidays in Russia, the Baltic Countries and Spain. Everyone who sees those pictures and videos realises that they are real and the problem is so serious that something must be embarked upon at once. To identify students' reading habits the author used a questionnaire which had been compiled to conduct a similar survey in Tallinn Secondary Science School in 2008. The research included the 10th and 12th graders of Ülenurme Gymnasium and the survey was carried out during the second term of the 2013 school year. A total of 37 responses were received, of whom 19 were girls and 18 boys. Analysis of the results showed the following: · Older students read more newspapers and news websites on the Internet than younger students, and the news websites are more actively followed by boys than girls. · 32% of students read newspapers on regular basis, and boys are more active readers than girls.
