Discuss the representation of the generation of fathers in Turgenev's novel "Fathers and Sons" Turgenev always had two tasks before him to depict the body and pressure of time, and to depict the rapidly changing face of cultured Russian society (Freeborn 1960:48). Kluchevsky (1993:40) defined one case of the generation gap in the beginning of the XIX century as "merry cosmopolitan sentimentality of the fathers now transformed in a patriotic grief of their children. The Fathers were Russians, who passionately wanted to become French; the sons were raised as French and passionately wanted to become Russians. Fathers and Sons situates this generational conflict within family relations. In this essay, the ways how Turgenev represents the generation of Fathers in Fathers and Sons is discussed. Fathers and Sons is set in between Russia's defeat in the Crimean War and the Emancipation of the Serfs a socially challenging area. Mid-19 th c...

,,2 Fast 2 Furious" is the sequel to 2001's wildly popular ,,The Fast and the Furious". Once again the movie revolves around street racing, but this is a very different film from the original. This movie finds Brian kicked off by the police force when streetracing in Miami. He gets busted and the FBI cuts a deal whereby his record will be cleaned if he goes undercover to help them get a dirty information. The allure of these movies isn't the plot though. It's the cars and the racing. In my opinion, this movie is a bit better than the first. The movie has an entirely different feel from the first. The races are a little longer as they're not just doing quarter mile drag races and there are also some massive chase sequences that tear up a lot of cars. We were pleased to see lots of different types of performance cars getting representation this time.

explaining a wide range of pictorial imagery produced by children. adolescents, and adults. Second, a disparity has been noted between the breadth of the world of art and the narrowness of the focus on visual realism that has served as the endpoint in these developmental models. Third, cultural biases that mark these models have been identified theoretically and empirically. Fourth, insufficient recognition has been paid to the role of other modalities of expression in some forms of pictorial representation(e.g., Duncum, 1986; Golomb, 1994; Kindler &Darras, 1997b, 1998; Korzenik, 1995; Wolf, 1994; Wolf & Perry, 1998) . Critics of the traditional stage models of development argued that alternative explanations are necessary to account for the range of pictorial systems that children begin to develop early in life and to engage in research relating to the reasons for selecting specific pictorial solutions. It has been pointed out that even very young children

diversity issues, demographics, and trends; to provide recommendations; and to measure and track progress. The ONR Diversity Committee is an important tool for ONR in its work to increase diversity, and the current committee is to be commended for its solid recommendations. This committee believes that the ONR Diversity Committee should be strengthened and given a position of greater prominence. The Committee has identified many useful ways to increase the representation of target groups. Included among them are new initiatives in four areas: diversity training, rotational assignments, mentoring, and recruitment and relocation bonuses. Diversity training is helpful to ensure that common skills and knowledge are shared throughout the organization. This plan suggests that departmental displays highlight principal investigators, their research, and pictures of diverse participants. This can be an excellent forum to demonstrate the

All the emotions of the human nature can be expressed through the moves of this dance. The key to start a suitable performance is to render the particular emotion into your head and to let your body move freely to the music in a representation of what you feel. The result will be fast, tragic, emotional, furious and amusing at the same time. From this action, the liberation of stress and frustration is the most important aspect. You can fell relieved and happy after this dance. Krumping brings many benefits for the mind and for the body at the same time. In the initial phases of Krumping style development, people believed it will turn into another way through which gangs are formed and start with various negative actions

Britain's role as leader of the global economy. The flag of the United Kingdom is the Union Flag (also referred to as the Union Jack). It was first created in 1606 by the superimposition of the Flag of England on the Flag of Scotland and updated in 1801 with the addition of Saint Patrick's Flag. Wales is not represented in the Union Flag as Wales had been conquered and annexed to England prior to the formation of the United Kingdom; the possibility of redesigning the Union Flag to include representation of Wales has not been completely ruled out.[436] The national anthem of the United Kingdom is "God Save the King", with "King" replaced with "Queen" in the lyrics whenever the monarch is a woman. Britannia is a national personification of the United Kingdom, originating from Roman Britain. Britannia is symbolised as a young woman with brown or golden hair wearing a Corinthian helmet and white robes. She holds Poseidon's three-pronged trident and a shield, bearing the Union Flag.

On the Diagrammatic and Mechanical Representation of Propositions and Reasonings.” Kuid juba 13. sajandil kasutasid filosoofid ja matemaatikud sarnast diagrammi, nii võib oletada, et Venni diagramm on olemas olnud juba palju kauem. (A history…, 2013) Venni diagramm on sarnane Euler´i diagrammiga, mis loodi Leonhard Euleri poolt 18. sajandil. (The history…, 2013) Sellest võib järeldada, et paljud teadlased, filosoofid ja matemaatikud on sarnaseid diagramme kasutanud ka varemalt ning mida aeg edasi, seda

Some philosophers argued that these three conditions, taken together, are not sufficient to define knowledge. What is truth? We should avoid circulary definitions: Truth: a verified or indisputable face/an obvious or accepted fact. Fact: something known to be true. There are mainly two types of theories about the definition of Truth. 1. Correspondence theories 2. Coherence theories. Correspondence theories of Truth Truth is the correspondence to reality. A belief/representation is true if it corresponds to really and it is false if it does. Ex: ‘The Earth turns around the sun’ is True because the earth really turns around the sun. Problem: How to determine whether our beliefs/representations correspond to real reality? Example: This girl looks at a city from a boat. Her senses provide her with an image of the external world. Problem: How can she determine whether her representation of the external world is accurate?
spectacle, usually a performance upon a stage by virtuoso dancers. It often tells a story, perhaps using mime, costume and scenery, or else it may simply interpret the musical accompaniment. Examples are western ballet and modern dance, Classical Indian dance and Chinese and Japanese song and dance dramas. [3] Dancing has been one of the most popular way to have a good time and to entertain someone. It’s a cultural representation, which involves dancers, choreographers, audience, patrons and impresarios. Dance traditions may be limited to one culture, but they all develope. Ballet is an example of a highly developed Western form of dance that moved to the theatres from the French court during the time of Louis XIV. Some dances, such as the quadrille, a square dance and other country dances were once popular at social gatherings, but are now rarely performed

monarchs. The abbey is stuffed with graves, statues and monuments. Many coffins even stand upright due to the lack of space. In total approximately 3300 people are buried in the Church and cloisters. Some of the most famous are Charles Darwin, Sir Isaac Newton and David Livingstone. The history of the abbey starts in 1050, when King Edward The Confessor decided to build an abbey. Only a small part of this original Norman monastery, consecrated in 1065, survived. The only representation of this original building is shown on the Bayeux Tapestry. Most of the present building dates from 1245 to 1272 when Henry III decided to rebuild the abbey in the gothic style. Large parts were later added: the Chapel of Henry VII was added between 1503 and 1512, while the two West Front Towers date from 1745. The North entrance which was completed in the 19th century, is the youngest part of the abbey.

Model Is the domain-specific representation of the information on which the application operates. Domain logic adds meaning to raw data (for example, calculating whether today is the user's birthday, or the totals, taxes, and shipping charges for shopping cart items). Many applications use a persistent storage mechanism (such as a database) to store data. MVC does not specifically mention the data access layer because it is understood to be underneath or encapsulated by the model. View

philosophers such as Plato and Aristotle. Individual Liberty: "Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness" developed as the motto of this era, which forms the cornerstone of the U.S. Constitution today. Since the colonies had very few individual rights, they declared certain fundamental rights that they deemed "inalienable." Democracy: The colonies had no say in the formation of the government, and had no representation in the lawmaking process. Consequently, they were attracted to the idea of democracy, where the government is "of the people, by the people, for the people," as Lincoln later expressed in his Gettysburg Address. Religious Tolerance: Much impetus for the ideas of religious tolerance came from the rule of King George II, who was a staunch Catholic and did not allow freedom of religion to Protestants in New England. We had the capacity for art early in our history (Credit: SPL) Somehow, our language-learning abilities were gradually "switched on", Tattersall argues. In the same way that early birds developed feathers before they could fly, we had the mental tools for complex language before we developed it. We started with language-like symbols as a way to represent the world around us, he says. For example, before you say a word, your brain first has to have a symbolic representation of what it means. These mental symbols eventually led to language in all its complexity and the ability to process information is the main reason we are the only hominin still alive, Tattersall argues. It's not clear exactly when speech evolved, or how. But it seems likely that it was partly driven by another uniquely human trait: our superior social skills. While both chimps and humans cooperate, we will always help more
arts and commission works resulting in a proliferation of paintings and illuminated manuscripts. Increased literacy and a growing body of secular vernacular literature encouraged the representation of secular themes in art. With the growth of cities, trade guilds were formed and artists were often required to be members of a painters' guild--as a result, because of better record keeping, more artists are known to us by name in this period than any previous; some artists were even so bold as to sign their names.
