Letter about my recent health problem

3 March 2012 Dear Jane, How are you? I haven't heard from you in a while. I am writing to tell you about my recent health problem I had food poisoning. I got it when I visited Mexico. I ate something that probably caused it. I am not really sure what it was. I had to drink plenty of fluids and rest a lot. I was down with that poisioning for two days. On the third day I could finally turn back to my normal life and start eating again. That poisoning was very terrible. I felt extremely bad and mostly I was sad about ruining my vacation. For at least two days I couldn't enjoy Mexico. That is all for now

work and it is important because the research has done great leaps since 2009. Metaphorically it could be a crowbar used to break into a new military age in which the use of conventional guns changes drastically. And as a side effect new uses could be found in everyday life, not to mention the advancement in spacecraft related research. The purpose of this essay is to explain what a railgun is and how it works along with a little history and the recent advancements in railgun related science. 3 1. What a railgun basically is A railgun is an electrically powered electromagnetic projectile launcher and a large electric circuit, made up of three parts: a power source, a pair of parallel rails and a moving armature. Along the pair of parallel conducting rails a sliding armature is accelerated by the

IS MEDIA DECEIVING AND PACIFYING THE POPULATION?

reach even more people. The internet is allowing anyone to share information instantly to all over the world. It might be thought that with all these new developments, problems like controlling of the media and deceiving people are gone, but it seems that things are not that clear. When the first newspapers appeared, they were just a part of small businesses, whose goal was to make money by selling the reports of recent events. People bought the papers to stay up to date or read something interesting about a distant occurrence. However the businesses soon changed into not only covering the recent news, but also politics and viewpoints of different people. The newspaper publishers had changed from selling news to being dealers of public opinion. (Habermas, 1991). The readers had no doubt to question the content of newspapers and it quickly became obvious that they were a powerful weapon to shape a

Report about Steffani Pizza Restaurant

Report To: David Carlisle From: Mart Mets Date: 11th December 2013 Subject: Steffani Pizza Restaurant Introduction The purpose of this report is to highlight some good and bad points of Steffani Pizza Restaurant. In order to prepare this report I handed out to their recent customers questionnaires in order to get the most recent data. Good points of Steffani Pizza Restaurant Firstly, I have to point out that the customers are very satisfied with the prices and they are probably willing to pay higher prices, if Steffani wants to raise the prices. There is something specail about the atmosphere, because my research show that people spend there about two times more than in other eating places in Pärnu. Secondly, I have to mention that the food is quite delicious. Bad points of Steffani Pizza Restaurant

Miks on iga Ecuadoris elav konnaliik maailmale oluline?

Miks on iga Ecuadoris elav konnaliik maailmale oluline?

How does virtual communication influence our behaviour and relationships

Also they can get themselves into trouble, because they think they are anonymous and because of that, they are doing things they should not do, for example being racist in the wrong place. Actually, there is no anonymity on the internet. Certain authorities can always find you. But the poor children don't know that and they can ruin their lives just by writing some wrong words in wrong order. We have many examples of this occurring in real life, for example the recent bomb threats in some schools of Tartu. The same children who communicate too much over the Internet also may forget how to communicate in real life, with real people. Overall, they are enjoying themselves, but with what price? I have experienced that on myself. On a summer few years ago I almost didn't leave my home for the whole summer at all. By home I mean my village and the only exception was that I had a disease for a few weeks and I had to go to the doctor's in Tartu. As

Ads everywhere

Ads everywhere Advertising has become a part of everyday culture. We know all of the tricks that advertisers use to sell us their products and so they need to work harder than ever to keep us interested. The latest trend designed to do this is known as ambient advertising. It’s a practice of putting ads in unusual places. It allows the advertisers to be flexible. One recent award-winning campaign advertised a modern art agency by putting stickers on everyday objects such as lamp-posts and paving stones. It seems that wherever you go these days some advertising agency will have got there first and will be desperately trying to grab your attention.

disadvantage, in addition there are also long term effects such as an increased risk of developing alcoholism, cardiovascular disease, liver disease, and cancer. Damage to the central and peripheral nervous system is a result of sustained alcohol consumption. On the other hand research has found a correlation between light consumption in other words- one or two alcoholic beverages per day- and reduced risk of heart disease as well as reduction in all-cause mortality. However, some recent studies found that moderate consumption of alcohol did not decrease heart disease and that the positive effects may be due to methodological flaws in research studies. Despite the small number of benefits of alcohol they are still greatly overweighed by the large amount of negative effects on health. For example increased risk of liver diseases, cancer and pancreatitis. Nevertheless conversely moderate intake of alcohol may have some benefitial effects on gastritis

A letter to the editor

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing about the recent article in Tuesday’s edition of the Westvale Herald to express my disapproval of the Westvale Council’s decision to sell Longheath Park to a property developer. In my opinion, this is a really bad idea. Firstly, if the park is sold there will be no open spaces left. Therefore, children will not be able to play freely, and people will have nowhere to walk their dogs, ride their bicycles and so forth. What is more, there will be very few green areas in town. Obviously, this is very unhealthy, as people need fresh air and natural surroundings for good health. Finally, the town will be crowded and built up. This will mean that there will be more traffic and pollution, and the town will no longer be a nice place to live. To sum up, I think it is a terrible idea. I hope that the council will find a better way to deal with Longheath Park. Maybe they will fin...

Teachers have little time to deal with people individually. Preparation of teaching materials is more difficult to have many classes in school. Work hard to improve because teachers do not have much time. Thirdly I would say I do not like that there are few nature in a big school near. City people do not surrounded the clean nature. People living in polluted climates, where cars travel every day. People should move to the land where it is cleaner and more recent. In a large school it is better to live and learn. The school has a wide range of areas and there are many hobby groups, which to choose. Teachers have little time to deal with many students, would now be easier to learn.

Kilt

Kilt The kilt is a knee-length garment with pleats at the rear, originating in the traditional dress of men and boys in the Scottish Highlands of the 16th century. Although the kilt is most often worn on formal occasions and at Highland games and sports events, it has also been adapted as an item of fashionable informal male clothing in recent years, returning to its roots as an everyday garment. Typically, a portion of the belted plaid hangs down to about the knees with the rest of the material being wrapped up around one's upper body in a variety of ways and pinned or otherwise secured to keep it in place. The first clear reference to the kilt occurs in the year 1594.In that year, a group of Highlanders from the Western Isles went to Ireland to fight under Red Hugh O`Donnell.

waste because of overconsumption and abuse of the natural resources. To begin with, air pollution is a big problem in big cities and in industrial areas. Air pollution is often caused by the exhaust fumes of the cars or by big factories. It affects nature and peoples health causing them breathing problems. Secondly, huge amounts of waste are being produced every day and it is all because of overconsumption. Although, in recent years peoples knowledge about recycling and using eco-friendly products have improved, there are more landfills in Estonia than ever before. The government should take some actions and instead of talking about recession, improve recycling programs. Last but not least, abuse of the natural resources is also a big problem in Estonia. Big fatories let their waste run into the rivers without cleaning it and farmers use man-made fertilizers. Their actions spoil groundwater

transport. A very important packaging function is to provide information about the product the package contains and handling information as well. Also, a major packaging concern is the ease of handling in the warehouse and during transportation. There are two types of packaging: consumer (interior) and industrial (exterior) packaging. Many different exterior packaging materials are available to the logistics manager. In recent years, companies have tended to use softer packaging materials. Cushioning materials include shrink-wrap, air bubble cushioning, cellulose wadding and plastics. Also, packaging has two logistics concerns: the physical dimensions like size and shape and the type of material.

Environtment

The ecological footstep of mankind is getting bigger and bigger by the day. Although everybody seems to acknowledge the problem and also care about the wellbeing and preservation of our planet the situation is only getting worse. Firstly, the ever growing need for energy is taking its toll on the environment. Due to the fast growth of the economical and industrial sector in recent years the need for energy has grown dramatically. Global warming which is responsible for the melting of the ice cap which leads to the rise of sea level is mainly caused by the high use of fossil fuels. Secondly, over-consumption caused by population growth on Earth leads to pollution which is becoming highly dangerous to the environment. The decomposition of materials used nowadays is often hundreds of years long. Unfortunately the number of reusable products is getting smaller by the day

Even though every mobile phone has a camera, not many students use their phones to take pictures. Based on the findings above, it is clear that the main uses of mobile phones are communication and internet use. Because of many recent technological advances, many people can nowadays do many different things on their mobile phones simply by clicking on a touch screen.

Animals shrinking in the heat

to need less body fat to survive while others are struggling for food. In the next few decades, some types of mammals, fish, birds and plants are getting smaller and evolve into miniature versions of what they are today. This could force some creatures, that people eat, to become extinct, Dr David Bickford from the National University of Singapore reviewed research showing creatures from deer to tortoises, gulls, goshawks and even polar bears have already shrunk over the past 50 years. 'Because recent climate change may be faster than past historical changes in climate, many organisms may not respond or adapt quickly enough. The species that can adapt are the species that will be affected by potential declines in body size.' Researches say warmer and drier conditions have seen an increase in droughts which have shrunk some plants, and acidification of the ocean has affected the size of algae and plankton which are at the bottom of the food chain.

When we look at the present situation, very many people are confined to their own homes. In Estonia, students can’t go to school normally, they have to stay behind the computer every day and it is very exhausting. Many parents have lost their jobs because of the virus. And still there are people who won’t listen to the government rules and spread the virus further. Secondly, global warming is increasing at an alarming rate with the progress in technology. In recent years, industrialization and extensive use of automobiles have been observed, and these developments have significantly raised the levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Moreover, these gases like carbon dioxide and methane trap the sunlight and elevate the temperature of the earth. This change in temperature is not only responsible for global warming but also other associated problems of climate change and air pollution.

It is a form of government in which an individual has the actual or nominal supreme power, who is the head of state, often for life or until abdication. Since 1800, most of the world's monarchies have been abolished, and most of the nations that retain monarchs are constitutional monarchies. The most recent nation to abolish its monarchy was Nepal, which became a republic in this year, on May 28. Currently 44 nations in the world have monarchs as heads of state, 16 of which are Commonwealth realms that recognize Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom as head of state. After commonwealth realm there are some more types of monarchy: constitutional, semi- constitutional, absolute and subnational monarchies.
