In year 2004 70-seat Paintshop stage was opened. The theatre has been led by many outstanding directors: Leo Kalmet, Priit Põldroos, Ants Lauter, Ilmar Tammur, Voldemar Panso, Mikk Mikiver, Evald Hermaküla, and Merle Karusoo. Nowadays it works under the artistic director Priit Pedajas and general director Rein Oja. Estonian State Puppet & Youth Theatre Estonian State Puppet Theatre started in 1952. It was the first theatre for children in Estonia. The theatre started with puppeteer hidden behind the screen in 1952, has now become a rapidly developing theatre, which is open for different experiments. For decades it was led by its founder Ferdinand Veike. Since 2000 the managing director of the theatre is Meelis Pai. There has been a noticeable renewal in both the artistic and administrative side of the Puppet Theatre. The theatre is located in the Old Town of Tallinn and has four stages Small Stage (180-240 seats), Oval

A good tide can become a multi-leveled metaphor for the condition of the hero or his world. T h e title of The Godfather, for example, suggests that Don Corleone is both god and father to his people. T h e graphic design of the logo for the novel and movie lays out another metaphor, the hand of a puppeteer working the strings of an unseen marionette. Is Don Corleone the puppeteer, or is he the puppet of a higher force? Are we all puppets of God, or do we have free will? T h e metaphoric title and imagery allow many interpretations and help to make the story a coherent design. OPENING IMAGE T h e opening image can be a powerful tool to create m o o d and suggest where the story will go. It can be a visual metaphor that, in a single shot or scene, conjures up

If you don’t deal with the fear,and cut the strings that hold you to the fear, the fear will cause you to dance emotionally and psycho- logically. If you let a fear go on for too long, it will tend to grow and grow and eventually come to dominate all of your thinking.
