To Protect or not Protect Minor Languages Minor language is a language that is spoken in a minor area in a territory. For example Estonian is a minor language, because it has so little amount of speakers, just over a million comparing to German that has at least 100 million native speakers. Many minor languages have been mixed together or been developed from other languages. I think that the minor languages should be protected, because with languages come with a part of culture and if we terminate the variety of cultures that have developed throughout the evolution of mankind then the world would be boring. There would be no languages to learn, no foreign songs to sing and no joy of knowing that you can speak to a foreigner in his mother tongue. Also people are more friendly and open to you if they can speak freely in their mother language. But not protecting the minor languages can also be a good thing. As we know the world is global...

Thus, mercy killing is very humane and reasonable thing to do and does not deserve punishment. The negative aspect of euthanasia is that it is still a form of killing. One should not be in judge over others life, even when it is for a good cause. The fact that euthanasia could be misused is not less important. In conclusion, although mercy killing is a form of taking someone’s life, it should not be punishable when it is for greater good. Is the purpose of law to protect property? Dispute over the purpose of law has been actual for a long time. There are many interpretations of the meaning and purpose of law. Is the purpose of law to protect property? Every property owner is interested in protecting and maintaining their possessions. Law is very important for achieving that. When the law would not protect the proprietors, then the consequences would be unpredictable. Thus, at least one of the purposes of law is to protect property and its owner.
Unfortunately, we're not quite there. Many of us believe that we lead lives that respect nature but our consumption habits give us away. Many little habits that seem to be sustainable are in fact polluting. Along with pollution, issues like depletion of resources, the rise of consumerism, and the "throw away" culture have led to serious issues. That being said, the fight's not over yet. Fortunately, more people than ever are both aware of and active in the protection of the environment. To protect the environment, waste management and recycling are crucial. When we recycle, used materials are converted into new products, reducing the need to consume natural resources. If used materials are not recycled, new products are made by extracting fresh, raw material from the Earth, through mining and forestry. Recycling helps conserve important raw materials and protects natural habitats for the future. As recycling saves energy it also reduces greenhouse gas
Every year, more and more animals are facing extinction. In order to protect endangered species, what can we about this problem? One way of solving the problem is to protect wildlife habitats as the best way to protect endangered species is to protect the places they live in. In addition to this, wildlife must have a place to find food and shelter from the weather. Logging, oil and gas drilling, over-grazing and real estate development have all resulted in the destruction of these habitats, which must be minimized as much as possible. Another way to solve the problem is to stop buying products that are made from animal skin. The lack of demand would result in hunters being unable to continue their business.

The Giant Panda is endangered as there are only 2,000-3,000 of them living in the wild and about 270 living in captivity. They have become endangered due to the destruction of their habitat and the variety of bamboo that is decreasing. They are also illegally hunted for their fur. To protect them, there have been many special wildlife parks set up. Elephants live in Central Africa and are the largest land animals alive today. They eat grass, twigs and some fruit. In many Asian countries elephants are symbols of wisdom and are famed for their memory and high intelligence. should participate to educational courses organised by the state where they can learn everything about these petty crimes an also how to avoid getting in the middle of them. It is very important to organise this meetings in the poor districts where teenagers are prone to ilicit activities such as pickpocketing or even burglery. Another method of reducing petty crime is that the people should learn how to protect their houses and their valuable goods. They should also learn how to protect themselves by thieves in order to not become victims of this criminal activity. It is very important to make people understand that they should also protect themselves because the police can only interfere after the crime. There are people who oppose these methods by believing that these will be time consuming and expensive, because they don’t think that teenagers will go to such meetings. Furthermore

Dear Madam, I am writing in connection with the appeal in Internatioanl Crisis Agency. According to the appeal, you are looking for volunteers to help the animals in danger of extinction. Although I am not a professional veterinarian, I would like to volunteer. I am a 22-year-old postgraduate intern. I have completed a course in consulting and I have a certificate in first aid. Futhermore I have helped in several actions that were going on in the wild areas to protect the spieces from extincting. As a result I have some experience in drastic situations. I do not know if I have any of the specialised skills that you need, but I could certainly help to protect those animals, give them first aid or any relevant prospective help they might need. All in all I would be very happy if I could be somewhat helpful. I would be thankful for further details and I could provide references if these are needed. Looking forward to hearing from you, Yours faithfully,

Smacking children Parents all over the world use smacking in the purpose of discipline, even though in reality it is child abuse. Children's behaviour needs to be controlled but they shouldn't be suffering. Firstly it seems to me that parents who continuously beat their children don't care about them. Although few slight slaps for punishment are enough parents still beat them hard. Parents should be the ones who protect children not the ones who children have to be afraid of. In addition some parents equate smacking with discipline although these two are not the same. Teaching is discipline, smacking is punishment. Parents who don't smack their children still discipline them. They are just using ways that don't involve pain. Moreover the law is against all kinds of physical punishments. Some parents still keep beating their children
built around the world is slowly growing. Do we actually need those kind of man-made "homes" for animals or is it better for them to live outside cement walls in their natural habitat? First of all, nowadays we need to help the nature and animals that are the ones facing quite big danger of becoming extinct. Mostly it is caused by our selfish attitude: we do not take care of nature. Zoo is one of the solutions to help to preserve nature and to protect it from poachers. For example Loxodonta africana is an African elephant who has been hunt down and whose population was significantly reduced in 20th century. The population in the Tanzanian Selous Game Reserve, once the largest of any reserve in the world, dropped from 109 000 in 1976 to 13 000 in 2013. 85 000 elephants were lost to poaching in Tanzania between 2009 and 2014. Even though zoos compared to reserves are really small, they are still important in preserving animal species.
Finding Nemo, the Pixar movie introduced millions of people around the world the clownfish. Twenty-nine species of clownfish live among the reefs from East Africa to French Polynesia and from Japan to eastern Australia. Among scientists and aquarists, clownfish are also known as anemone fish because they can't survive without a host anemone, whose stinging tentacles protect them and their developing eggs from intruders. It's still a mystery exactly how a clownfish avoids being stung by the anemone. Of the roughly thousand species of anemones, only ten host clownfish. What's good for the clownfish is good for the anemone, and vice versa. Clownfish spend their entire lives with their host anemone, rarely straying more than a few yards from it. They lay their eggs about twice a month on the nearest hard
Does water consumption matter? 2 MINUTIT. I'm going to talk about water consumption and about the importance of the water. I've chosen this topic because water is our most important resource and I'm also very worried about how little there is left of it. At the moment a bottle of water costs less than an euro, but within the next 10 years the very same bottle may cost 5 to 10 euros, if we don't conserve and protect our fresh water supply. The thing is, we have enough sea water, but it's the freshwater we lack of. Water covers over 70% of the Earth, but just 3% of it is fresh and less than 1% is the water that is available and we can drink. The amount of freshwater is rapidly decreasing. The water we have now is all we will ever have, we cannot produce anymore. Moving on to the importance of water. There wouldn't be any life on Earth without water.

sea and green plants, provide us with the oxygen we breathe. If those things disappear humans will lose physical goods in their life. From a lot of different animal species that are in a danger of extinction we, humans, get the medicine that cures will cure our sicknesses. The use of animal parts in traditional medicine can also contribute to a species' decline, despite there being no real evidence of the efficacy of these treatments. The rarity of a creature does not protect it from being killed in the name of "medicine"; it just raises the market price and by that humankind is destroying its own environment. We do not know are the parts of the animals that are used in the medicine actually helpful to us. There is no proof that those things will help us with our ailments. There is no solid evidence to prove it. And we still inside of each one mind never think do we actually need that medicine thatwhat has taken an endangered animal's life. An innocent

Macular degeneration disease can lead to permanent loss of eyesight. Both of these diseases can not be cured but it is possible to prevent them. The best prevention would be to avoid the use of smart devices. If there is a need to look at the screen for longer period the screen light should be adjusted to lower level. Another important thing is to blink the eyes to keep them moistured. Also, there are programs for computers and smartphones designed specifically to protect the eyes from blue light radiation. It is also possible to buy protective glasses that protect the eyes and special cover screens which can be placed onto the smart device. 2 USED LITERATURE AMD – Maakula degeneratsioon (2016). their leaves in the autumn, and grow new ones in spring). Most deciduous trees have thin, broad, light-weight leaves that can capture a lot of sunlight to make a lot of food for the tree in warm weather; when the weather gets cooler, the broad leaves cause too much water loss and can be weighed down by too much snow, so the tree drops its leaves. New ones will grow in the spring.; trees have thick bark to protect against cold winters. Temperate rainforest- epiphytes such as mosses and ferns grow atop other plants to reach light. Cool temperatures lead to slow decomposition but seedlings grow on "nurse logs" to take advantage of the nutrients from the decomposing fallen logs. Trees can grow very tall due to amount of precipitation. Temperate Grassland (Prairie)- During a fire, while above-ground portions of grasses may perish, the root portions survive to sprout again

My house was built in 1992 but it has been extensively modernised and extended since then. Our house consists a lot of different elements and components what I try to describe in my essay. The most important part of construction is foundation because it keeps buildings in one piece. My house has a strip foundation which is taken 1,5m below the ground to protect the structure against ground movement and damages. Due to the fact that foundation transfer the dead and imposed loads of the structure onto the ground it must be very solid and strong. Our foundation is made of pre cast concrete blocks which has a damp-proof course made of mastics on external side. There are sleeper wall after the concrete blocks to support the basement floor slabs. Next primary elements are the walls. My house has four crosswalls which have load bearing and enclosing role
My mother tongue in 21th century Thousands of Years ago Estonian did not exist. Even nowadays not very many people speak Estonian, nearly 1,5 Million. Compared to English speakers, it's nothing. The Estonian language has changed very much as the years have gone by. The expressions that were used years ago are replaced with English phrases, which are especially popular among young people. That's because almost all films, song lyrics and popular TV shows are in English. They also use slang too much. It's quite possible, that soon the Estonian language dies out and replaces with English. The second reason, why Estonian is in big danger, is because the little importance of the language. Almost everyone can speak at least one foreign language and nowadays the travelling possibilities are also very good. So if the Estonian language has no importance, it's possible, that if several nations will mix and there will be no...

Besides that there is no need to spend money on trendy clothes. Thirdly, school uniforms make students a target for bullies from other schools. In addition to that, uniforms give students no freedom of expression. Last but not least, school uniforms are an unfair additional expense for parents and besides that a financial burden for poor families. To sum up, it can be said that school uniforms have both good and bad sides. In my opinion, school uniforms are rather beneficial because they protect students from intruders and bullies and lessen barriers between students. Merit Vislapu 11R

a bit less exciting. The actual history is that the rock formations were created by a lava flow some 65 million years ago by molten basalt rising through a chalk bed, and then cooling and cracking to form the tall columns that make up the causeway. Legend: Legend has it that the Finn McCool built the causeway to walk to Scotland to fight his Scottish counterpart Benandonner. One version of the legend tells that Fionn fell asleep before he got to Scotland. To protect Fionn, his wife Oonagh laid a blanket over him so he could pretend that he was actually their baby son. In a variation, Fionn fled after seeing Benandonner's great bulk, and asked his wife to disguise him as the baby.

Dream trip My wish would be to go on a trip to the Caribbean Islands with my friends. I would like to go away for a while from Estonia where its cold and windy and enjoy the sun, warm weather, the beautiful sea and the cloudless sky on the beach. The trip to the Carribbean should certainly be with a plane but we would need a car and someone who could drive us. The suncream would protect us from the unsafe sun and we would lie in the shade on palm trees. We wouldn't be interested of sightseeing on this trip because it's a place where you can have much fun and relax. And of course i wouldn't say no to a ride on a luxurious yacht.. We wouldn't stay the nights at the beach, but in some overpriced and luxurious hotel. The rooms would be spacious and the windows would be wide and of course there should be a large balcony where we could enjoy the sunsets

A study shoes that, rather than pollution, fishing appears to be the biggest threat to porpoises. Each year more than 10000 porpoises are killed in the seas around Britain. Fishingboats are using a technique witch consists in leaving the nets on the sea bed for several hours. When porpoises come to feed on the sea bed, they get caught in the nets and drown. There is a need for a research to make nets safer for porpoi...

A few simple changes can help a lot. First of all, it is really important to keep our lakes clean, because nature is the premier source of fresh water. So people should stop dropping garbage into the lakes or near them. And walking pets near the lakes is also not such a good idea. It's not very nice to find some animal's body wastes while going to swim. Secondly, think about how much water you use. A few simple steps could save your money and help protect the environment. For example you should prefer shower to bath or you should turn the water off while brushing your teeth. Finally, people who work in agriculture, should start collecting rainwater to water their fields and gardens. It's much cheaper and naturefriendly. So don't just sit there! We can all do our bit from keeping our lakes clean to collecting rainwater. If everybody does a little bit, then perhaps together we can make a difference.

There comes a new student Kaspar to a city school and quickly becomes popular because he is communicative and talented. He also gets a popular girl-friend, but it all doesn't like to the class leader Anders. There is also a whipping boy Joosep. Kaspar is going to protect him what changes a new classmate to a foeman of Anders. Developing the film uncovers schools violence, relations with parents, pedagogues apathy, punishment and retribution. For me, the film was really galvanic and thought-provoking. In real Estonia it is not that cruel as it is in film, but it may be possible in somewhere American schools. I think the film is too uncharitable and is not educative for everybody. It is possible that some teenagers follow that lead.
After Estonia regained its independence, Estonia has moved towards a liberal and free market economy. Different enterprises and various funds have financed large investments to address enviromental problems. The main object of environmental protection is to provide everybody wtih a healthy environment and natural reources without causing damage to nature. The other goal of protection is to preserve biodiversity. Estonian National Enviromental Strategy has made many principles to protect environment. The first one means that we have to think not only about ourselves, but also about future generation, because they want to live in clean enviroment. The second principle means that nature is common welth and concern of the population. Next principle means that every country has to take part is solving global and regional environmental problems. Another principle means that everybody has to cooparate to solv problems within their sphere of influence. The fifth principle means that
