WHAT IT TAKE FOR MARGARET THATCHER TO BECOME THE PRIME MINISTER It is a rather big achievement for a woman to become the prime minister. Back these days it was even inadmissible to believe in it. She was the only woman in the Parlament at that time. Her father was a pole model and inspiration for her ever since she was a young girl. When she saw her father giving powerful and confident speeches, it motivated her to become as looked up as her father was as a political figure. What gave her a push into politics was wish to make a change in the world, Not to become someone, but to change something that would matter

British Parliament Structure and Functioning of the British Parliament today Britain is a parliamentary monarchy . The British Parliament is a bicameral parliament , that is to say that it is made up of two chambers, or two "Houses"; above the two Houses, but in an essentially formal role , there is the Sovereign - king or queen - also known as "the crown." Role of the Sovereign The British monarch has all authority, but no power. The Sovereign appoints the Prime Minister, and every year opens the sessions of parliament, in a historical and ritual ceremony called the State Opening of Parliament . Historically, this ceremony used to take place in the Autumn; but since 2012, it has been brought forward to May. This is the only regular time when the members of both Houses come together. During the ceremony, the Sovereign reads out the government's intended programme. The "Queen 's Speech" is a summary of the

members currently and is elected for five years. Bicameral parliament means that there are two separate assemblies. There are quite a few minor differences that Iam not going to mention because otherwise it would take me much longer than two minutes to talk about them. Now i want to talk about similarities. I previously talked about parliaments and that leads me to the first similarity: in both systems the head of the parliament is Prime Minister, current Prime minister in United Kingdom is Theresa May and in Estonia Taavi Rõivas. The second similarity is the election to the parliament in both countries you have to be at least 21 years old and there are some other criterias to match like mental health and imprisonment. And in both countries you have to be at least 18 years old to vote. When you think about it like that there is not too much in common, but at least these two systems

In late 1938, Britain tried to avoid another world war by signing the Munich Pact. The pact gave Germany ,,permission" to invade Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia. In March 1939, Britain announced that it would be supportive to Poland when Germany would invade it, but German invaded anyway. Hitler and Stalin had secretely signed an agreement dividing up Poland between the two powers. On 3rd September 1939, when many people were already preparing for war, Neville Chamberlain, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom at that time, broadcast to the nation, announcing the declaration of war in Germany from Britain. People dig air-raid shelters, or sew blackout curtains. In May 1940, when Winston Churchill replaced Neville Chamberlain as Prime Minister got Britain a more aggressive war-time leader. In 1942 Roosevelt and Churchill agreed to make defeating Germany their first priority. After three more years, in 1945, Germany surrendered unconditionally
state for war and air, and from 1924-1929 was chancellor of the exchequer. The next decade were his 'wilderness years', in which his opposition to Indian self-rule and his support for Edward VIII during the 'Abdication Crisis' made him unpopular, while his warnings about the rise of Nazi Germany and the need for British rearmament were ignored. When war broke out in 1939, Churchill became first lord of the Admiralty. In May 1940, Neville Chamberlain resigned as prime minister and Churchill took his place. His refusal to surrender to Nazi Germany inspired the country. He worked tirelessly throughout the war, building strong relations with US President Roosevelt while maintaining a sometimes difficult alliance with the Soviet Union. Churchill lost power in the 1945 post-war election but remained leader of the opposition, voicing apprehensions about the Cold War (he popularised the term 'Iron Curtain') and encouraging European and trans-Atlantic unity

Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and Saskatchewan) and three territories (Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut). Formally considered a constitutional monarchy, Canada is governed by its own House of Commons. While the governor-general is officially the representative of Queen Elizabeth II, in reality the governor-general acts only on the advice of the Canadian prime minister. Canada is an independent, self-governing nation. However, Canadians recognize Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain as Queen of Canada. The position symbolizes the country's strong ties to Great Britain, which ruled Canada completely until 1867. Canada and the United States have had a relationship of cooperation and friendship since the 1800's. In Canada a federal form of government is combined with a cabinet system.

Similarly to Brexit, after the voting results, plenty of people regretted their choise. Now, since 20 January 2017, Donald Trump is the USA president. We do not know what is going to happen and what will he really do, but we do know, that people are afraid of his promises and they are fighting against it. I hope that people would not give up for their hopefulness and they would not let him control their lives. "The people´s princess" 31 August 1997. I guess that almost everyone knows how dramatic that date was. England lost the princess who should become the Queen- but all went wrong. The film took place in United Kingdom and it talked about the Royal Family. At the beginning of the film Tony Blair was appointed as the United Kingdom´s prime minister. Blair visited Buckingham Palace to meet the Queen Elizabeth. Three months later princess Diana, the Queen Elizabeth´s daughter, had a car accident in Paris- she died. Blair gave the speech in which Diana was described as "the people´s princess". All the people in England were in shock and in tears. The country was in deep grief. Since Diana was divorced from her husband Charles, she was no longer a part of the Royal Family. At first, Elizabeth
