Some Love Poems and English Phrases

But most of all Love is kind. 44. I asked you where you wanted to live when YOU grow up and you got the dreamiest look upon your face as Paris slipped off of your tongue But when you asked me where I wanted to be in those few years that will pass, I choked up because how on Earth I was supposed to say in your hands, your lungs, your mind's, in your HEART. Xxx 45. These two poems are my own!!! I wrote these by myself!!! Lets start. So the first one. I wrote it 26.12.2013. In the middle of tonight, when the stars were shiningin the sky, You were giving me the kiss, it was all that I could ever wish. It was like a beautiful dream, I was happy, I wanted to shout and scream. You were holding me so tight and I didn't fight. I wanted you to stay with me, I hoped that you will never leave. When you said that I “love You” it was like dream to coming true....

English portfolio

Jakobson formulated the economic and political programme of the Estonian national movement, demanding equal political rights for Germans and Estonians. He regarded the Russian central government as the main anti-German ally. The prevailing national-romantic tendency in Estonian art and literature was based on the ideas of the Enlightenment and idealised `ancient non-stratified' society. Patriotic poems and songs extolled the beauty of Estonian nature and expressed ardent love for the native soil. Inspired by the folklore of the neighbouring Finns, a `picture of the ancient Estonian world' was constructed. Historical fiction sang high praises of the times of past freedom, and an image of 700 hundred years of slavery was implanted in the nation's memory. Estonian societies, choirs and orchestras were established in parishes. The money-raising...

William Blake · William Blake (17571827) was an English poet, philosopher and artist. He was one of the most extraordinary personalities to emerge during the period of Romanticism. He believed that spiritual reality lies hidden behind the visible world of the senses and he attempted to create a symbolic language to represent his spiritual visions. He began printing his own illustrated poems in colour in 1787. The first example was Songs of innocence(1789). Towards the end of his life, he joined a circle of younger artists who appreciated his remarkable powers. It was not until the late 19th century that Blake's work achieved general attention. He was extremely prolific and his prints, illustrations, and paintings can be found in several important public collections in England and the USA. Agatha Christie...

The Life of Dante, the Inferno of Dante

"Shades" are referred to as three-dimensional bodies, able to feel pain as if they were alive in solid ice and immobile, yet to have the intensity of fire. If Dante had tried to touch one of them, his hand would have met no physical resistance since the shades would melt into the air. Tate stands in awe of Dante's abilities to express such a large concept or picture in so few words. He says, "I believe we all wish we had been able not only to write better poems , but poems that say much more than we have been able to say, while at the same time seeming to say less."(452) In 1953, Jacques Maritain, a French philosopher, theologian, educator, and essayist, wrote "The Three Epiphanies of Creative Intuition", in his book, Creative Intuition in Art and Poetry. He wrote about how Dante's Divine Comedy is at the same time poetry of the song, poetry of the theater, and poetry of the tale. They are the three epiphanies of poetic intuition...

Idealization of nature in Romantic poetry

/.../ Ten thousand saw I at a glance, Tossing their heads in sprightly dance. /.../ A poet could not but be gay, In such a jocund company: /.../ As one of the main functions of all religions in general is that they offer emotional and moral support to the believer and nature in romantic poetry is thought of as a creator and something capable of helping man find inner peace and emotional clarity, it is not difficult to connect the two. In various poems , nature is seen as something divine to turn to when in need of help, sometimes even referred to as God. It seems to have limitless powers over men, being able to put ideas into their heads and take their breath away and forget about all else by showing them unimaginably beautiful sceneries. Coleridge's "To Nature" is a good example to illustrate the way romantic authors saw nature as something divine and holy. /.../ So will I build my altar in the fields,...

She always finds the right way out of the situation. In fact, I would go as far as to say that she is so energetic person, that your company will need no more workers. Sometimes it seems, that is capable to do thousands doings at the same time. The one her drawback is `hurry sickness`. She is always in a great hurry, even if it is not necessary. Even at school we had such cases, when she was like `in hurry`. She was always first, when we pass our essays or tests, or read poems by heart etc. This is not really the drawback, but sometimes it tires her out. For the reasons I have given I have no hesitation in supporting her by this application for the job. I believe that Alice would make a good impression on you....
