Bella decides to negotiate with Edward. She tells him that she wants him before she is changed and Edward doesn't quite understand her meaning until she tries to take his clothes off. Edward refuses to compromise, afraid he would hurt her. Bella feels dejected. She pleads with Edward that she just wants to try. The pleading breaks Edward's resolve and he offers a new compromise. He is willing to try but only after they are married. Bella realizes that the reason Edward wants to wait is to protect her virtue, which she finds very funny. Edward also realizes that he can use her hormones to speed up the marriage process. Edward shows her the ring and explains that it was his mothers. Bella is not overly enthused at trying it on but does to make Edward happy

They eat dinner and go to sleep for a time. At one they wake up and set out to rob the house they planned. Mr. Sikes threatens Oliver more and they explain to him his job of going through the small window and opening the door. Once Oliver realizes that he is going to be stealing, he begs and pleads to be set free to die in the fields. Sikes puts a gun to his head and is ready to pull the trigger when Toby grabs Oliver and says it would be quieter to break his neck. Sikes instructs the boy to do his job, pushes him through the cellar window, and hands him a lantern. Just as Oliver is about to run through the house and wake the family, two men burst in on him and fire a gun. Sikes warns him off, but when Oliver does not move,
Simba grows into a powerful teen-aged lion and one day has a violent encounter with another lion who was menacing Pumbaa. However it turns out to be Nala, who has grown into a beautiful and powerful young lioness. Their love blossoms in a romantic duet. But Nala is on a mission. She tells him how Scar has tyrannized Pride Rock, enslaved the animals, and tried to take her as his mate. She pleads with him to return and take his rightful place as king. Haunted by his guilt and unsure of his strength, Simba hesitates. Like many heroes, he isn't eager to leave the pleasures of the SPECIAL WORLD. But his father's spirit appears (like the ghost of Hamlet's father in Act One of "Hamlet") and urges him to face his destiny.
