Islam

The Shi'a understanding of predestination is called "divine justice" (Adalah). This doctrine, originally developed by the Mu'tazila, stresses the importance of man's responsibility for his own actions. In contrast, the Sunni deemphasize the role of individual free will in the context of God's creation and foreknowledge of all things. Duties and practices Five Pillars Islam's basic creed (shahadah) written on a plaque in the Great Mosque of Xi'an, China Rituals of the Hajj (pilgrimage) include walking seven times around the Kaaba in Mecca. The Five Pillars of Islam are five practices essential to Sunni Islam. R. Kipling & M. Faraday

During his lifetime, Faraday rejected a knighthood and twice refused to become President of the Royal Society. When asked by the British government to advise on the production of chemical weapons for use in the Crimean War (1853-1856), Faraday refused to participate citing ethical reasons.Faraday died at his house at Hampton Court on 25 August 1867. He had previously turned down burial in Westminster Abbey, but he has a memorial plaque there, near Isaac Newton's tomb. Faraday was interred in the dissenters' (non-Anglican) section of Highgate Cemetery....

Letter of complaint

I must regretly announce, that your advertisement was wrong in many ways. Firstly, the figure which I ordered was told to be delivered within ten days. But I received it after three weeks and due to that, I could not hand it to my friend in time. Furthermore, there was a crack on one side of the figure; so as a consequence, it also did not look the same anymore because of it. And the gold plaque , where you engraved my message was completely wrong. That is why I could not gift it to my friend after all. As you can imagine already, I am quite disappointed about your company. I also feel that I have certain rights to receive a refund in addition to an apology from your company manager. I look forward to recieiving a quick reply. Yours faithfully, Rainar Kaegas...

Dear Sir or Madam: I am writing to complain about the China Figure I ordered from your mail order company as a gift for a friend. I believe your advertisment was misleading in a number of ways. Firstly the Beautiful China Figure you sent me was cracked. Secondly, you promised to engrave my chosen message on a gold plaque , but there was a wrong message on the plaque. Then the advertisment said that the figure will be selivered within ten days, but mine took three weeks to arrive, so I got it too late. I am extremely upset and I demand you to give me my money back as soon as possible. Yours faithfully, Karoliina Ojasaar....

The Great Plague In London

The streets were very narrow and buildings were built close together. Most of the people were poor and the living conditions were unbearable. The city was infested by rats because of the townspeople who would throw their trash, out-dated food and sewage out on the streets. 3.1 Spreading of the plague The reason why Great Plague spread to England is that the merchants travelled to Asia which already suffered from the plaque and when they came back they gave a free ride to the rats. With the rats came fleas which carried the deadly bubonic plague. The more prosperous residents of the city started moving their families to their country homes and by June, everybody who could leave London did so. (Historic UK's homepage: http://www.historic-uk.com/HistoryUK/England-History/GreatPlague.htm) Plague began in London in the poor, overcrowded parish of St. Giles-in-the-Field. It started...

Letter of Complaint

Firstly, it was said to be delivered within ten days but when I received the package, three weeks had already passed. Also, my friend's birthday had passed, it was supposed to be a gift for him. I had to buy a new gift for him and now I do not have anything to do with this figure. Secondly, the figure was cracked and it did not look like the one on the advertisement. The engraved message I chose was also wrong and misspelled. The plaque surface where the message was engraved was scratched and silver but it should have been golden, like it was written in the advertisement. Thirdly, it was mentioned that each figure comes on a wooden stand but mine was on a plastic stand and I noticed some trace of glue, this seemed quite careless. Furthermore, it was wrapped up very carelessly and there were many little pieces in the box. They were very dangerous for children. The beautiful China Figure turned out to be an awful cracked figure....

Pediaatria

Pikk aeg, mille jooksul kleepuvad magusained katavad hambaemail. Ohtlikud on nn. lutsukommid, mida lapsed imevad tundide kaupa. Hambapinna katt ehk plaque . Katt kinnitub hambale igemepoolses osas.

Letter of complaint

Dear Sir / Madam, I am writing to you about a china figure which I had bought for my friend from your company on the 16th January for £19.99. I enclose copies of the guarantee and the receipt. In your advert you claim that each figure comes on a wooden stand with a gold plaque where you will engrave our chosen message. However, you engraved the wrong message and not the one that I had given you. Another problem is the quality of that figure. I was very disappointed, because when I received the figure, it was already broken. In fact, the wooden stand was cracked not only one but from many places. In your advert you also claim that the product will be delivered within 10 days, but it took 3 weeks until I got it. I had to buy another gift for my friend...

The Estonian War of Independence

During the War of Independence, seven of our schoolboys died: Heinrich Vellmann, Gunnar Ambrosius, Hugo Läänemets, Artur Viikmann, Hans Püss, Raoul Kallismaa, Nikolai Reinok (show the list of the pupils and the teachers who went to war behind the glass coverage). There is a marble plaque dedicated to those seven boys in our school assembly hall, which was ceremonially opened on the 4 th anniversary of the War of Independence in 1922. (point to the picture of that plaque) Many of those who returned from the war were honoured with war decorations and all of them were granted with free education until their graduation from university. A statue was erected to all of the pupils from the schools in Tallinn who fell in battle. The...

Koos evolutsiooniteooriga on r...

Photographic camera

Later was discovered that the light caused blackening and then Thomas Wedgwood and Sir Humphry Davy who was a British scientists began their experiments to obtain photographic images, but these photos weren’t permanent because after exposing them to light the paper turned black. The first camera that was small enough to be portable was designed by Johann Zahn in 1685.The first cameras were similar to the Zahn model, but with improvements in focus since before each exposure a sensitized plaque was inserted. In 1839 was published the popular daguerreotype by Louis Daguerre’s which used silver-plated copper plates sensitized with iodine vapors The invention of the wet collodion wet plate process invented by Frederick Scott Archer in 1850 greatly reduced the exposure time but But it always required the photographer to craft the plates either in dark rooms of photographic studios or in portable laboratories. 6 How did it work? Extended essay: To what extent does a plant-based diet lower the risk of coronary artery disease?

There are different kinds of fats in the foods we eat. Saturated and trans fats tend to raise triglyceride levels in the blood while unsaturated fats help lower them. 8 Cholesterol is an important fat-like compound found in body tissue which is essential for neurological function and memory formation. However, having too much of it in your bloodstream causes your arteries to build up a plaque which narrows the arteries and makes it harder for oxygen-rich blood to flow through the arteries into the heart. Individuals who suffer from atherosclerosis are prone to getting a heart attack or angina. While heart attacks have become less deadly overtime, due to modern medicine, it is still important to keep your body healthy to avoid them altogether because heart attacks tend to cause permanent damage to the heart, contributing to heart failure and arrhythmias. 9...
