Too much money is being spent on preserving the old part of town The Medieval Old Town is the center of Tallinn. Most of the major national and international companies are headquartered near the Old Town. Since the economy is not in a good shape right now the question of financing the old parts of Tallinn has been raised. Many people claim that spending money on preserving the old parts of Tallinn is not the best idea when people are having hard times. They are having trouble with making money in the first place. Also there are other fields, which are more important than the Old Town, such as education that need to be financed. Nevertheless, the Old Town is very important to tourism. On 24 April, I purchased a Canon digital SLR camera from a duty-free shop at Freetown Airport on my way from Freetown to Wondercity. The camera cost $599, and I paid for it by credit card. The Rhodians decided to express their pride by building a triumphal statue of their favourite god, Helios. The task was assigned to the sculptor Chares of Lindos, a pupil of Lysippos himself, and twelve years (from 304 to 292 BC) were needed to complete it. The Colossus of Rhodes was not only a gigantic statue. It was a symbol of unity of the people who inhabited that beautiful Mediterranean island of Rhodes. To build the statue, the workers cast the outer bronze skin parts. The base was made of white marble, and the feet and ankle of the statue were first fixed. The structure was gradually erected as the bronze form was fortified with an iron and stone framework. To reach the higher parts, an earth ramp was built around the statue and was later removed. When the Colossus was finished, it stood about 33 metres (110 ft) high. A strong earthquake hit Rhodes at around 226 BC. Many people fear that the building of a mosque would open a door for Islamic radicalization in Estonia. I for one, find that very hard to believe since the main cause of radicalization is not religion, but the feeling of exclusion. The feeling of not being wanted within society. Many parts of Europe are currently caught in a vicious circle A terrorist attack occurs, so people no longer want Islam in their home town. The muslim population, as a result, feels alienated and pockets of radicalized muslims start to form . Every so often, one of these groups commit another terrorist attack and thus, the wheel just keeps turning. Unless we find a way to break this circle, things will only get worse as time goes on

Of course any kind of oppression should not be approved of and actually the Empire and native British forced on their way of life and culture to the colonies. On the other hand the Empire also helped its subjects to develop in a positive sense. In overall Britain ruled several parts of the world, like India, parts of Africa, New Zealand, Canada, and Australia, but also Ireland. Just to prove my point I will give some examples how the British Empire affected its subjects. In the 19th century British culture and way of life became predominate in Ireland.
