Why is Eliza angry? Explain.
Eliza won the bet for Higgins. She thinks that she is not important to him. Mr. Higgins thanks
God it's all over, and Eliza thinks that now he can throw her back again to the gutter.
What does Higgins say to make a point that Eliza has no right to be angry?
Higgins says that she is overreacting. He tells her that after she sleeps she will feel better. "It's
only imagination. Low spirits and nothing else. Nobody's hurting you. Nothing's wrong. You
go to bed like a good girl and sleep it off. Have a little cry and say your prayers: that will
make you comfortable."
Why does Eliza wish that she was dead? Why does she say that she wished Higgins had
left her where he found her?
