Printsess Diana

On 31 August 1997, Diana was fatally injured in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma road tunnel in Paris. Her companion Dodi Fayed and the driver Henri Paul were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Fayed's bodyguard, Trevor Rees-Jones, was the only survivor. Princess Diana's death has been claimed as a conspiracy. Diana's public funeral was held at Westminster Abbey on 6 September. The funeral drew an estimated 3 million mourners and onlookers in London, as well as worldwide television coverage. Diana today is still remembered by many as the "people's princess". She will always be remembered. Lady Diana Frances Spencer "Everyone needs to be valued. Everyone has the potential to give something back." ~ Princess Diana. THE END.

The art of dance

[4] Before the invention of written languages, dance was a more important method of passing stories down from generation to generation. Nowadays people have many ways to pass stories, but still they use dance to communicate with others. To express their feelings. Participatory dance, whether it be a folk dance, a social dance, a group dance or a partner dance is undertaken primarily for a common purpose, such as social interaction or exercise, of participants rather than onlookers. Such dance seldom has any narrative. Participatory dancers often all employ the same movements and steps but, for example, in the rave culture of electronic dance music, vast crowds may engage in free dance, uncoordinated with those around them. On the other hand, some cultures lay down strict rules as to the particular dances in which, for example, men, women and children may or must participate. [3] Dance and health has been subject of a number of research studies that show dance to

you light the candles otherwise... 4. catholic boys and girls dress up as kings for three kings day (jan. 6) they sing carols and collect money for donations to different projects that"s just a couple of things... Christmas in Spain In Spain it is a very festive time at Christmas. On Christmas Eve, as the stars come out, tiny oil lamps are lit in every house, and after Midnight Mass and Christmas Dinner, streets fill with dancers and onlookers. There is a special Christmas dance called the Jota and the words and music have been handed down for hundreds of years. They dance to the sound of guitars and castanets. Children think of the Three Wise Man as the gift bearers. Tradition has it that they arrive on January 6th, the date the Wise Men gave gifts to Jesus. Shoes are filled with straw or barley for the tired camels that must carry their riders through the busy night

a central motivator of behavior. Is this tendency to be consistent really strong enough to compel us to do what we ordinarily would not want to do? There is no question about it. The drive to be (and look) consistent constitutes a highly potent weapon of social influence, often causing us to act in ways that are clearly contrary to our own best interest. Consider what happened when researchers staged thefts on a New York City beach to see if onlookers would risk personal harm to halt the crime. In the study, an accomplice of the researchers would put a beach blanket down five feet from the blanket of a randomly chosen individual-the experimental subject. After several minutes of relaxing on the blanket and listening to music from a portable radio, the accomplice would stand up and leave the blanket to stroll down the beach. Soon thereafter, a researcher, pretending to be a thief, would approach, grab the radio, and try to hurry away with it

already" and "Grannie is not in the holding cell" together entail "Grannie is in court already," even though neither sentence alone entails that.) There are more exotic meaning facts as well. For example, some disputes or alleged disputes are merely verbal or "only semantic," unlike substantive disagreements over fact. X and Y do not disagree about what actually hap- pened; they dispute only over whether what happened counts as a "so-and-so." Onlookers say, "Oh, they're just talking past each other." (That happens a lot in philosophy.) In stating the foregoing meaning facts, I have at least half-heartedly tried to avoid "reification" of things called meanings; that is, talking about "mean- ings" as if they were individual things like shoes or socks. I have talked of sentences having such features as being meaningful, being synonymous, being ambiguous, though I did eventually slip into alluding to "meanings." I could
