The invention of telephone

a device that could send more than one telegram at the same time. His research on hearing and speech further led him to experiment with hearing devices which eventually culminated with the telephone in 1876. The first telephone didn't have a bell, so the caller had to tap the phone with a hammer to let the receiver know a call was being sent to them. It was Thomas Watson who invented the bell. Alexander Graham Bell founded The Bell Telephone Company in 1877 to build a nationwide telephone system. By 1881, there were 132 700 Bell telephones in homes. The telephone became one of the most popular methods of communication. People started writing fewer letters and visited less often, so the main problem of 21 st century started already in 19th century. There are now three main types of phones or phone like devices: landline telephones, mobile phones and VoIP phones which are known as an office phones.

Over the past decade, women have resolved into leadership positions, encouraging the same sex to voice their opinions in voting booths, political debates, and society. If you don't have that option, look at your current electricity bill to see if you are able to support renewable energy in another way. DRIVE SMARTER CARS Choose an efficient vehicle: High-mileage cars such as hybrids and plug-in hybrids use less gas and save money. Over its lifetime, a 40-mpg car will save roughly $3,000 in fuel costs compared with a 20-mpg car. Compare fuel economy performance before you buy. Drive smart. If all Americans kept their tires properly inflated, gasoline use nationwide would come down 2 percent. A tune-up could boost your miles per gallon anywhere from 4 to 40 percent, and a new air filter could get you 10 percent more miles per gallon. Learn more about saving fuel and money through proper car maintenance. GREEN HOMES AND BUILDINGS Weatherize your home or apartment. Heating and cooling consume about 40 percent of energy in the home. A drawing Stephen did of St. Paul's Cathedral when he was 9 . 3.slaid One of Stephen's teachers took a particular interest in him, who later accompanied his young student on drawing excursions and entered his work in children's art competitions, many of which garnered Stephen awards. The local press became increasingly suspicious as to how a young child could produce such masterful drawings. The media interest soon turned nationwide and the 7 year old Stephen Wiltshire made his first steps to launch his lifelong career. The same year he sold his first work and by the time he turned 8, he received his first commission from the British Prime Minister to create a drawing of Salisbury Cathedral. In February 1987 Stephen appeared in The Foolish Wise Ones. (The show also featured savants with musical and mathematical talents.) During his segment Hugh Casson, a

I really wanted to see the world! The only question was how, because my financial resources were limited. Nevertheless, I think, it is the perfect situation in life. If you are eager to get something you have to think how it is possible to fulfill your dreams. I knew I was interested in writing and photography . Then came the question, how could I combine them. I examined the theme thoroughly and to my suprise there have always been many nationwide competitions for students and the prize sometimes has been a journey to somewhere. I rememember clearly that the first prize that I got for an essay was a backpack and the first journey that I won was to Brussels. To this day, thanks to these competitions, I have had the chance to visit about ten foreign countries and many of them even twice. Herewith I just want to say that nothing is impossible. The main thing is the desire to gain something

were forced to earn the approval of the president in order to secure reappointment (Reuter 2010: 299). Thus, the new law gave the president real power over the most influential regional actors in Russia and by doing that helped to maintain the electoral supremacy of United Russia. The amendment to the law ,,On the Election of Duma Deputies", which was passed in 2005 states that all 450 Duma members are elected on party lists in a single nationwide constituency under proportional representation (Law on Elections of Deputies to the State Duma, Article 1). The introduction of the PR electoral system, which removed independent candidates from the elections, assures that only individual political parties can compete. The amendment also increased the membership demands up to 50,000 with at least 500 members in more than half of the 83 regions of the Federation and no fewer than 250 in other regions (Articles 5)

favourable for EE to spread in the whole of the UK. First of all, London is not the only large urban centre; therefore it has not exclusive rights to influence the speech in all the regions of the country. Next, such centres as Belfast, Dublin, Cardiff, Glasgow, Newcastle, Nottingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol have been reported to focus the accents around them. And last but not least, "There is no parallel here to the nationwide network of residential Public Schools which gave rise to RP." The last argument has been challenged by Parsons (1998: 63-64): "there seems to be no need for this, if EE grows on the substrate of RP. If at one time in the future EE should invade the last strongholds of RP, the old boarding public schools (possibly because there will be no more teachers who speak anything else, or because pupils will refuse to be `branded on the tongue' by speaking anything else), then EE will be

killed. The only positive outcome in Britain was that women got the right to vote in the 1919 elections. During the war, Britain also struggled to main control of Ireland, where demands for independence were increasing. Britain was unable to resist the rise of nationalistic movement. The Irish Free State was eventually created on 6 December 1921. In the mid-1920s life was getting harder for the lower classes. A slump in the mining industry in 1925 led Britain's miners to a nationwide strike. The General Strike started on 4 May 1926 and many people stopped work in support of the men who worked in the mines. The strike had a great effect on their conditions, but it was not successful in its political aims. The war was followed by a period of severe hardship throughout Europe as the depressed economies struggled to recover from the war effort. It was a period of great social unrest and mistrust between various classes. Unemployment was high, wages low and there

the Kingdom of Sweden gained control over Tallinn. A library was established at the church in 1641. The copper roof was built thanks to the donation of Queen Christina in 1651. While nearly the entire Toompea burnt down in a fire in 1433, the fire of 1684 was even more devastating. Only the walls of the church survived the whole wooden interior and the library burned down and even the arches and carved stone details suffered some damage. King Charles XI held a nationwide collection of donations in Sweden, the nobility of Estonia added their share and this enabled to restore the church in only two years. T ä h e p õ l d, Kadri. 2005. Established church The Church of England is the established church, which means that: 1.)the Monarch is the Supreme Governor of the church, 2.)the Church performs a number of official functions, 3.)Church and State are linked. To disestablish Disestablishmentarianism refers to campaigns to sever links between church and state, particularly in relation to the Church of England as an established church. It was initially a movement in the United Kingdom in the 18th century. The established churches in Wales and Ireland could not count on even nominal adherence by a majority of the population of those countries. In Ireland, the predominantly Roman Catholic population campaigned against the position of the established Anglican Church of Ireland - eventually disestablished in Ireland from 1 January 1871. Then practice Capitalist Niggerism because then you will not blame the teachers for failing your children or blame the nationwide testing services for using non-black questions in their testing. You will be in control because you will totally understand that everything that happens to your child at school is a result of the learning environment you have provided him or her at home. Case in point: the recent hoopla over steroids. In light of the media excess, the public pronouncements, and the wailing in Washington, one would assume that the scienti c evidence establishing the health risk of steroids is overwhelming. By having an announcer mention England's Queen Elizabeth, the officer wove into an interview with former heavyweight champion Max Baer the hidden message: S-112: Queen Elizabeth sails tonight with hundreds of airplanes for Halifax. What was disturbing was that neither the announcer, the station manager, Baer, nor any of the thousands of listeners on the nationwide hook-up except those who had been initiated into the secret were aware that the message had been broadcast. With this in mind, the Office of Censorship ruled that telephone or telegraph requests for phonograph records were not to be honored, and that mail requests must be held for an irregular, unspecified time before playing. This would defeat any attempts to have "Jersey Bounce" tell a waiting U-boat that Convoy sails today. The same
